Installation Instructions for Toyota Camry and Lexus ES Models

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Bottom Appearance Panel (Single Exhaust Models Only):
- Use a panel removal tool to remove 7 plastic rivets.
- Remove 1 screw using a 10mm socket and loosen 5 plastic flange nuts underneath the trunk pan using 10mm and 12mm sockets.
- Remove the panel and retain it for reinstallation.

Lower Exhaust Muffler:
- Use exhaust removal pliers to detach rubber hangers at 3 locations.
- For dual exhaust models, remove 4 factory M8 bolts (2 per side) using a 12mm socket and separate the exhaust hanger rod from the rubber hanger.
- Ensure the exhaust is supported before detaching the hangers.

Remove and Trim Heat Shields:
- Remove 2 flange nuts from the heat shield using a 10mm socket.
- Trim the heat shield as shown in the instructions. For hybrid models, remove and trim the sensor bracket on the passenger side.

Enlarge Access Holes:
- Remove rubber plugs from access holes on both sides of the frame.
- Use a die grinder to enlarge the access holes to fit the head of a carriage bolt.
- Drill a 1/2" hole at the forward attachment location on the driver side if necessary.

Install Hitch:
- For single exhaust models:
- Remove 2 factory M8 bolts from the driver-side frame rail using a 12mm socket.
- Remove 2 factory M12 bolts from the tow hook on the passenger side using a 17mm socket and keep them for reinstallation.
- Reinstall heat shields.
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely install 2 M8 bolts into the weldnuts on the driver side. Install the tow hook on top of the hitch using the factory M12 bolts. Drill a 1/2" hole on the passenger side.
- For dual exhaust models:
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely install 2 M8 bolts with the exhaust hanger rod into the weldnuts on both sides.
- Drill 1/2" holes on both sides of the forward attachment.
- For single exhaust models:

Insert Hardware:
- Use pull wires to feed the carriage bolts and spacers into the frame rails. Loosely install conical washers and hex nuts onto the bolts.

Tighten All Fasteners:
- Tighten M8 fasteners to 25 ft-lb (34 N*m).
- Tighten M12 fasteners to 76 ft-lb (103 N*m).
- Tighten 7/16" fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N*m).

- For single exhaust models, trim the panel as specified.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Toyota Camry

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the trunk and remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the corner felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock it into place.
- Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and ensure the connectors are fully inserted and secure.

Mount the Black Box:
- On the driver’s side, mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remaining T-One® Connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling, avoiding areas that may pinch or cut the wires.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing. Drill a 3/32” hole if necessary and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to prevent damage or injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the connector with the green wire down the threshold to the passenger side taillight pocket.

Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the vehicle wiring connectors on the passenger side and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and secure.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
Warning: Follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable and install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

- Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other components removed during installation.
