• Flat Head Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Underbody Panel:

• Remove (9) M8 fasteners, (5-8) M10 nuts, and (1-2) plastic push-on fasteners. Unscrew the fasteners with a standard screwdriver while pulling down on the panel.
• Detach the panel and set it aside.

2. Lower Exhaust:

• Pry off the two rearmost rubber exhaust hangers using exhaust removal pliers or a suitable tool. Spray with soapy water to make this step easier.
• Support the exhaust system to prevent damage.

3. Remove Heat Shield:

• Remove the remaining (2) M10 nuts (one is above the muffler).
• Set the heat shield aside. For 2020 and newer models, the heat shield may be connected to the underbody panel and already removed in Step 1.

4. Fishwire Rearward Bolts:

• Use the fishwire method to install the carriage bolts and 2" blocks through the access hole and into the rearward attachment holes.
• Ensure the blocks are not overlapping each other and leave the pull wires attached.

5. Fishwire Forward Bolts:

• Use the reverse fishwire method to install the carriage bolts and 3" blocks into the forward attachment holes.
• Leave the pull wires attached.

6. Install Hitch:

• Raise the hitch into position, starting with the passenger side over the muffler.
• Guide the pull wire ends through the attachment holes, remove the pull wires, and install conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) and 1/2" hex nuts onto the carriage bolts.
• Verify that no wires or other items are pinched between the hitch and the vehicle frame.

7. Tighten Fasteners:

• Torque all hitch fasteners to 110 lb-ft (149 N·m).

8. Trim Heat Shield:

• Trim the heat shield as necessary and reinstall the remaining portion.
• For 2020 and newer models, if the heat shield cannot be separated from the underbody panel due to metal rivets, do not trim it and return it to the vehicle owner.

9. Reinstall Exhaust Hangers:

• Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall all exhaust hangers.

10. Trim and Reinstall Underbody Panel:

• Trim the underbody panel as necessary and reinstall it.
• For 2020 and newer models, do not trim the panel and return it to the vehicle owner.

• 6 × Carriage Bolts (1/2"-13 × 1.75", GR8)
• 6 × Conical Washers (1/2")
• 6 × Hex Nuts (1/2"-13, GR8)
• 2 × Blocks (1/4" × 1" × 3")
• 4 × Blocks (1/4" × 1" × 2")
• 6 × Pull Wires (1/2")

Safety Notes:

• Always wear safety glasses during installation.
• Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
• Check the hitch frequently, ensuring all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
• If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Chrysler Pacifica

Tools Required:

• Trim Panel Remover
• 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
• 8mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
• Torx T27 Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• 1/4” Socket
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Test Probe

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Open the Rear Tailgate:

   • Use a Torx T27 socket or wrench to remove the taillights on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides of the vehicle.
   • Carefully pull the taillights away from the vehicle without damaging the alignment pins.

2. Disconnect the Wiring Harness:

   • Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from both taillight sockets.
   • Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

3. Partially Remove Underbody Trim Panel:

   • Remove 8mm and 10mm bolts from the underbody trim panel to access the mounting area behind the rear bumper fascia on the driver’s side.
   • Mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.

   Warning: Ensure the black box is mounted in a protected area where it cannot be damaged by road debris.

4. Mount the Black Box:

   • Mount the T-One® Connector black box on the driver’s side with the epoxy side facing downward to prevent water accumulation.

5. Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the yellow wire up through the opening between the bumper and vehicle body into the taillight pocket.

6. Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors.

7. Route and Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the green wire to the passenger side underneath the bumper and up through the opening.
   • Insert the green wire connector between the passenger-side taillight socket and wiring harness.

8. Secure the 4-Flat Connector:

   • Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

9. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver’s side connectors.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

10. Route the Power Wire:

    • Attach the black 12-gauge wire to the black power wire from the T-One® Connector black box.
    • Route the black wire along the vehicle’s exterior frame to the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

11. Connect to the Vehicle Battery:

    • Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
    • Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
    • Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
    • Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.

12. Reconnect the Battery and Test:

    • Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable and insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
    • Test the installation using a test light or trailer.

13. Reinstall Taillight Assemblies:

    • Reinstall the taillight assemblies and other items removed during installation.
    • Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

14. Secure the Harness:

    • Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining T-One® Connector harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

• Overloading circuits can cause fires. Do not exceed stated product ratings.

Installation Instructions for 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter and Brake Control Wiring

Tools Required:

• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Drill with 3/32" Drill Bit
• 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• Test Light or Multimeter
• Cable Ties

Part 1: Install the 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Mount the Adapter:

   • Choose a suitable mounting point on the vehicle, typically near the hitch.
   • Use the provided bracket and screws to secure the adapter.

2. Connect the 4-Flat Plug:

   • Plug the 4-flat connector on the adapter into the existing 4-flat plug on the vehicle.
   • This connection enables tail lights, left turn, and right turn signals.

3. Ground the Adapter:

   • Locate a clean, solid grounding point near the adapter.
   • Drill a 3/32" hole if necessary and secure the white ground wire from the adapter using the provided screw and eyelet.

4. Leave Additional Wires Disconnected:

   • The following wires will remain disconnected until Part 2:
     • Black Wire: Power from the battery.
     • Blue Wire: Brake control output.
     • Yellow Wire: Reverse light (optional; leave disconnected unless needed).

5. Test Initial Connection:

   • Use a test light or trailer to verify functionality of the 4-way connections (tail lights, turn signals).

Part 2: Install Brake Control Wiring

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Mount Circuit Breakers:

   • Install two 30A circuit breakers on the firewall or another suitable location near the battery.
   • Use self-tapping screws to mount them securely.

2. Route Power Wires:

   • Connect the black 12-gauge wire from the 7-way adapter to the auxiliary side of one circuit breaker (this powers the 7-way socket).
   • Run a heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the battery side of this circuit breaker, using a ring terminal.
   • Run another heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the auxiliary side of the second circuit breaker (for the brake controller).

3. Install the Brake Controller:

   • Mount the brake controller under the dash on a firm surface.
   • Use the following connections:
     • Red Wire: Connect to the cold side of the brake switch (active only when the brake pedal is pressed).
     • Blue Wire: Connect to the blue wire on the 7-way adapter for trailer brakes.
     • White Wire: Connect to a solid ground point on the vehicle body.
     • Black Wire: Connect to the auxiliary side of the second 30A circuit breaker (provides power to the brake controller).

4. Optional: Connect Reverse Light Circuit:

   • If the trailer has a reverse light circuit, connect the yellow wire from the 7-way adapter to the vehicle’s reverse light circuit.

5. Reconnect the Battery:

   • Reattach the negative battery cable and ensure all connections are secure.
   • Insert the fuses into both circuit breakers.

6. Secure All Wires:

   • Use cable ties to secure all loose wires and prevent damage or rattling.

7. Test the System:

   • Verify functionality of all circuits (running lights, turn signals, brake lights, and brake controller output).
   • If applicable, test the reverse light circuit.

Notes:

• Most installations will only require connecting the black and blue wires from the 7-way adapter.
• Leave the yellow wire disconnected unless the trailer has a reverse light or surge brake lockout circuit.
• Always adhere to safety guidelines and verify all connections before use.
