Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Taillights:
- Open the tailgate and locate the opening behind the taillights.
- Unscrew the wing-shaped handle using a flat head screwdriver and unclip the wiring harness.
- Gently pull the taillights rearward to remove them.

Remove Bumper Fascia:
- (a) Using a T15 Torxbit socket, remove 4 plastic screws and tabs from the bottom fascia.
- (b) Using a T25 Torxbit socket, remove 1 vertical screw from the bottom of the wheel well liner, 3 horizontal screws from the side wheel well liner, and 1 vertical screw in the upper edge behind the wheel well liner, on both sides.
- (c) Use plastic trim tools to remove the fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells while gently pulling the fascia.
- (d) Disconnect the wiring harness from the fascia, if present, and set it aside.

Remove Bumper Beam:
- Using a 13mm socket with a 6" extension, remove 7 factory M8 bolts holding the bumper beam to the end panel.
- Return the bolts to the vehicle owner.

Install Hitch:
- Align the bumper beam with the hitch on the floor.
- Raise the hitch and bumper beam into position, aligning holes on the end panel.
- Loosely install the 7 M8 bolts to the bumper beam and hitch.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all M8 bolts to 25 ft-lb (34 N*m) using a torque wrench.

Trim Bumper Fascia:
- Locate the opening on the bottom fascia and trim the area as shown in the instructions.

Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall all fasteners, the wiring harness, the fascia, wheel well liners, and taillights.
Hardware List:
- (7) Bolt, M8 x 1.25 x 35mm, CL 9.8
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Regularly check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- Plug any removed holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Installation of the Module:

Determine the mounting location for the module.
- Use the provided double-sided tape to secure the module.
- Ensure the epoxy side of the module faces downward to prevent water buildup.

Connect the module’s black wire to a 12-gauge (or larger) power wire using a yellow butt connector.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the module:
- Drill a 3/32" hole if necessary and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and self-tapping screw.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.
Routing Power to the Battery:

Route the power wire to the vehicle’s positive battery terminal:
- Use the provided fuse holder, butt connector, and ring terminal to connect to the battery.
- Do not insert the 15-amp fuse yet.
Caution: Ensure the module is connected to a constant power source. Avoid using power sources that are interrupted when the vehicle is off.
Finalizing Installation:

Secure the wiring harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.
- Avoid areas where wires may be pinched, cut, or melted.

Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.

Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder and close the cap.
