Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Spare Tire:
- Take out the spare tire from the inside of the trunk.

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove the rubber exhaust hangers to lower the exhaust.
-
Remove Fascia Rivets:
- Detach the rivets from the fascia tabs between the trunk pan and rear fascia.
- Remove any plastic under-covering beneath the trunk pan if present.
-
Remove Existing Bracket:
- Remove the existing bracket from the driver-side frame rail and rear end panel. Return it to the vehicle owner.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Secure it with M10 hex bolts and 3/8" conical toothed washers into the existing weldnuts.
- If weldnuts are absent on the passenger side, use the provided nuts and washers.

Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a template, drill two 1/2" holes through the trunk pan.

Prepare Trunk Pan:
- From inside the trunk, scrape away the foam rubber material around the drilled holes.

Install Additional Fasteners:
- Insert the 1/2" hex bolts, blocks, lock washers, and nuts through the drilled holes and secure.

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- Replace the spare tire inside the trunk.
-
Reattach Components:
- Reattach the rubber exhaust hangers.
- Insert the fascia rivets back into the fascia tabs.
Torque Specifications:
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 ft-lb (102 N*m).
- Tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 42 ft-lb (57 N*m).

- (2) 1/2"-13 x 2" GR5 Hex Bolts

Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.

- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.

- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Toyota Venza / Mitsubishi Outlander:
- Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate.
- Remove the threshold, trunk floor panels, and trays.
- Remove the cargo loops on both sides to allow the trim panels to be pulled away carefully.
Toyota Camry:
- Prepare the Trunk Area:
- Open the trunk and remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the corner felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the taillight wiring harness.
Common Steps for All Vehicles:

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On the driver’s side, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Check that the mating surfaces match the T-Connector ends, and clean all connectors if necessary.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Attach the T-Connector end with the yellow and brown wires to the driver’s side taillight harness.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs engaged.

Route the Passenger-Side Wiring:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing.
- Repeat step 3 using the T-Connector with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area, drill a 3/32” hole, and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Mount the Black Converter Box:
- On the driver’s side, locate a flat surface and mount the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the converter box.
- Route the black wire through a grommet or along the existing wiring to the vehicle battery.
- Toyota Camry Hybrid: The battery is located inside the trunk.
Warning:
- Avoid routing near hot pipes, heat shields, or areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the provided yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the positive (+) battery cable and connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable and install the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
