Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Spare Tire:
- Take out the spare tire from the inside of the trunk.

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove the rubber exhaust hangers to lower the exhaust.
-
Remove Fascia Rivets:
- Detach the rivets from the fascia tabs between the trunk pan and rear fascia.
- Remove any plastic under-covering beneath the trunk pan if present.
-
Remove Existing Bracket:
- Remove the existing bracket from the driver-side frame rail and rear end panel. Return it to the vehicle owner.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Secure it with M10 hex bolts and 3/8" conical toothed washers into the existing weldnuts.
- If weldnuts are absent on the passenger side, use the provided nuts and washers.

Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a template, drill two 1/2" holes through the trunk pan.
-
Prepare Trunk Pan:
- From inside the trunk, scrape away the foam rubber material around the drilled holes.

Install Additional Fasteners:
- Insert the 1/2" hex bolts, blocks, lock washers, and nuts through the drilled holes and secure.

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- Replace the spare tire inside the trunk.
-
Reattach Components:
- Reattach the rubber exhaust hangers.
- Insert the fascia rivets back into the fascia tabs.
Torque Specifications:
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 ft-lb (102 N*m).
- Tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 42 ft-lb (57 N*m).

- (4) M10 x 1.25 x 40mm Hex Bolts (CL8.8)
- (4) 3/8" Conical Toothed Washers
- (2) 1/2"-13 x 2" GR5 Hex Bolts

Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Trunk:
- Remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the corner felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On the driver’s side, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Check that the mating surfaces of the vehicle harness connectors match the T-Connector ends. Clean all connectors to remove dirt.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Attach the T-Connector end containing the yellow and brown wires to the driver’s side taillight wiring harness.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs in place.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector end containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing.
- Repeat step 3 for the passenger’s side, using the T-Connector with the green wire.

Mount the Black Box:
- Locate a flat surface on the driver’s side and mount the T-Connector’s black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember. Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean the grounding area to remove dirt and rustproofing. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Locate the red 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box on the driver’s side.
- Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire to the red wire using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or the vehicle thresholds to the engine compartment, avoiding areas that could pinch or break the wire.
Warning:
- Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or the fuel tank.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Attach the ring terminal of the yellow fuse holder to the positive (+) battery cable and connect the other end to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable and install the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Secure the Wiring:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the trunk liner, threshold panel, and any other components removed during installation.

- Test and verify the T-Connector functionality using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
