Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Muffler:
- Use exhaust removal pliers to remove the (4) rubber hangers from the exhaust:
- (2) on the left side, (1) on the right side, and (1) in the middle of the car.
- Apply lubricant or soapy water to ease removal.
- Ensure the exhaust is supported before removing the hangers.
- Use exhaust removal pliers to remove the (4) rubber hangers from the exhaust:

Remove Rubber Plugs:
- Use a flat head screwdriver to remove (2) rubber plugs (rear and forward) from the holes at the bottom of the frame on each side of the car.
- Return the plugs to the customer.
- Use a utility knife to remove excess caulk near the access hole and reseal if the seam is exposed.

Install Fasteners:
- Feed the coiled end of the pull wire through the rear attachment hole and out of the forward-most access hole in the frame.
- Attach the 7/16" carriage bolt and spacer to the pull wire and pull them into position on both sides.
- Use the reverse fishwire technique as shown in the manual.

Install Block:
- Tape the supplied block (part no. 01097002) between the hitch and the frame at the access hole.
-
Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, being careful not to push the fasteners back into the frame.
- Loosely install the conical washers (teeth side facing the hitch) and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts (4 locations).
-
Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N*m).
- Note: A universal joint socket may be required for the rear bolts.

Reattach Muffler:
- Raise the muffler back into position and reattach the rubber hangers (2 per side and 1 in the middle).
Torque Specifications:
- 7/16"-14 GR5 bolts: 50 lb-ft (68 N*m)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the Taillight Assemblies:
- Open the tailgate and remove the vehicle’s taillight assemblies.
- Carefully pull the taillights away from the vehicle, ensuring not to damage the alignment pins. Set aside.
-
Route the T-Connector Harness:
- Route the harness containing the yellow wire underneath the vehicle and up through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body to the driver’s side taillight pocket.
-
Mount the Black Box Module:
- On the driver’s side, locate a flat, out-of-the-way surface and mount the T-Connector’s black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
-
Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole.
- Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw. Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing before securing.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to prevent damage or injury.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Separate the vehicle’s wiring connectors, being careful not to break the locking tabs.
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow and brown wires between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place. Ensure all connectors are clean and secure.
Warning: Ensure the module is mounted so the epoxy side faces downward to prevent water accumulation.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

Connect the Power Wire:
