Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Front Bottom Appearance Panel:

• Use a 10mm socket to remove (7) screws from the front of the panel and (2) screws from the intersection between the front and rear bottom panels.
• Use a flat head screwdriver to remove (4) push rivets from the bottom appearance panel and (8) from the bottom wheel well (4 per side).
• Use a T25 Torx bit to remove (2) screws from the rear bottom panel.
• Pull the rear bottom appearance panel downward and loosen it from the studs.

2. Loosen Wheel Well Liners:

• Locate the plastic trim piece inside the wheel well trim.
• Use a panel removal tool to remove (2) clips from the bottom and (4) clips from the side of the trim piece on each side.
• Remove (1) plastic washer from each liner by hand.
• Use a 10mm socket to remove (1) screw from the fascia connection point on each side.

3. Remove Trunk Panel and Taillights:

• Open the hatch and remove the interior carpet liner.
• Use plastic trim tools to loosen the weather stripping around the trunk panels.
• Detach the upper and lower trunk panels from (4) snap clips.
• Using an 8mm socket, remove (2) nuts from the taillights behind the panels on both sides.
• Use a 10mm socket to remove (1) bolt connecting the taillight to the fascia on both sides.

4. Remove Fascia:

• Use plastic trim tools to remove the fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells.

5. Remove Sensor Bracket and Bumper Beam:

• Return the bumper beam to the vehicle owner.

6. Install Hitch:

• Raise the hitch into position and loosely tighten it to the studs.
• Torque all fasteners to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).

7. Reinstall Components:

• Reinstall the wiring harness, fascia, fasteners, trunk panels, wheel well liners, and bottom appearance panel removed in Steps 1-5.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Access the Vehicle Wiring:

   • Open the rear hatch.
   • Remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.

2. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness on the driver’s side.
   • Insert the T-Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors.
   • Ensure the connectors are fully inserted, and the locking tabs engage securely.

3. Mount the Black Module Box:

   • Clean a flat surface near the driver’s side wiring harness using rubbing alcohol.
   • Mount the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
   • Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-Connector wiring to prevent rattling or pinching.

4. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box (e.g., an existing ground stud).
   • Alternatively, drill a 3/32” hole into clean, bare metal.
   • Attach the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution: Verify what’s behind the surface before drilling.

5. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector with the green wire along the threshold to the passenger side.
