Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Tie-Down Brackets:
- If present, remove tie-down brackets and bolts from each side of the vehicle frame. Return to the vehicle owner.
- For vehicles with a muffler hanger bracket welded to the passenger-side tie-down bracket, reattach the tie-down/muffler hanger with the hitch in Step 3.
- For vehicles with a muffler hanger bracket bolted to the bottom of the frame rail on the passenger side, remove the bolts attaching the bracket to the frame.

Raise Hitch into Position:
- Raise the hitch into position and install (4) M10 bolts and conical toothed washers as shown in Figure 1.
- For Two-Bolt Exhaust Hanger Configuration: Install (2) M10 bolts and conical toothed washers supplied with the hitch.
- For Four-Bolt Exhaust Hanger Configuration: Install (2) existing M10 bolts (retained in Step 1) and (2) M10 bolts and conical toothed washers supplied with the hitch.

Optional Weldnut Fastener:
- If an existing weldnut is present, omit the U-bolt and use the weldnut with the optional fastener.

Drill Holes (if required):
- For vehicles without a weldnut, use the hitch as a template and drill (2) 1/2" holes in the vehicle frame as shown in Figure 1.

Install U-Bolt:
- Insert the U-bolt as shown in Figure 2 and secure it with conical toothed washers and 3/8" hex nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M10 x 1.25 CL8.8 fasteners to 38 lb-ft (52 N*m).
- Torque all 3/8"-16 U-bolt nuts to 25 lb-ft (34 N*m).

Reinstall Components:
- For twin-tip exhaust models, increase exhaust clearance by loosening the set screws on each chrome exhaust tip and removing the tips. Return tips to the customer for reinstallation upon hitch removal.
