Remove Tow Hook:
- If a tow hook is present, remove it and return it to the vehicle owner.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the holes in the hitch with the existing weld nuts in the vehicle’s frame rail.

Install Fasteners:
- Install the following hardware (hand-tighten only until all fasteners are in place):
- M12 x 1.25 x 45mm CL8.8 hex bolts
- 1/2” lock washers
- 1/2” flat washers
- Install the following hardware (hand-tighten only until all fasteners are in place):

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 68 lb-ft (92 N*m).
Torque Specifications:
- M12 CL8.8 bolts: 68 lb-ft (92 N*m)
Hardware List:
- (6) M12 x 1.25 x 45mm CL8.8 Hex Bolts
- (6) 1/2” Lock Washers
- (6) 1/2” Flat Washers
Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
