Installation Instructions for Lincoln MKC (2015–Current)
Part Numbers:

Wiring Access Location:
- SUV1, SUV2
Tools Required:
- Wrenches: 10mm, 13mm, 11/16"
- Torque Wrench
- Safety Glasses
- Die Grinder
- 6" Socket Extension
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove the two (2) 8mm bolts from the hanger brackets on both sides of the vehicle.

Enlarge Access Hole:
- Use a die grinder to enlarge the access hole on both sides of the vehicle frame rail. This allows the 7/16" carriage bolts and spacers to fit.

Fishwire Hardware:
- Use fishwire to guide the 7/16" carriage bolts and spacers through the enlarged access hole to the mounting holes in the frame rail. Leave fishwires attached for later use.

Install Side Brackets:
- Raise the side brackets over the fishwires, remove the fishwires, and install conical washers and nuts on both sides. Hand-tighten only.

Position Hitch:
- Slide the hitch into position over the exhaust from the rear passenger side.

Attach Hitch to Side Brackets:
- Bolt the hitch to the side brackets using 7/16" carriage bolts, conical washers, and nuts. Hand-tighten only.

Reattach Hanger Brackets:
- Sandwich four (4) 0.25" x 1" x 1.5" spacers between each hanger bracket and the frame rail. Reattach the hanger brackets with the provided M8 bolts.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all M8 CL10.9 fasteners to 20 lb-ft (27 N*m).
- Tighten all 7/16" GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N*m).

- Qty (4): Spacer – 1/4" x 7/8" x 3"
- Qty (10): Conical Washer – 7/16"
- Qty (10): Hex Nut – 7/16"-14 GR2

- Qty (8): Spacer – 0.250 x 1.00 x 1.50 (round hole)
- Qty (4): Bolt – M8 x 1.25 x 40mm CL10.9

Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
