For our electrical we rely on Tekonsha. Our Trailer wiring kit comes with a 1 year warranty and everything necessary to install the trailer plug wiring. Tekonsha manufactures a wider range of different products for hooking up trailer lights to your Car Truck or SUV. Our connectors work great with boat trailer wiring and utility trailer wiring. Typically those trailers will use the standard 4 flat plug which is what our Wiring Kits offer. If you have an RV Fifth Wheel or any other large type of trailer you will us a 7 pin trailer plug to control your electric trailer brakes. Tekonsha offers 7 pin trailer connector as well. Simply do a search above to see if there is a 7 wire trailer wiring available for hooking up your 7 way. If there is not you can use part number 85343 trailer wiring adapter to convert any 4-Flat into a 7-Way. In addition you will use part number 20506 which will include the rest of wiring needed for electric brake controls. Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower the Exhaust:
- Remove three (3) rubber exhaust hangers from the hanger mounting brackets:
- Two (2) hangers on the driver’s side.
- One (1) hanger on the passenger’s side.
- Remove three (3) rubber exhaust hangers from the hanger mounting brackets:

Remove the Tie-Down Bracket:
- Detach the tie-down bracket from the driver’s side frame rail.
- Return the tie-down bracket and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Disconnect the Fascia:
- Remove two (2) plastic push pins to disconnect the fascia from the valence panel.
- Return the push pins to the vehicle owner.

Remove the Valence Panel:
- Detach the valence panel from the vehicle bulkhead by removing four (4) hex nuts.
- Return the panel and nuts to the vehicle owner.

Install the Hitch:
- Carefully pull the fascia down to allow clearance for the hitch side brackets.
- Raise the hitch into position and secure it using the following:
- Four (4) M12 x 1.25 x 30mm CL8.8 hex bolts.
- Four (4) 3/8” conical washers.

Reinstall the Exhaust:
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the hangers.

Secure the Fascia:
- Use two (2) cable ties to secure the plastic fascia to the hitch crosstube.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m).
- Tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).
Hardware List:
- (4) M12 x 1.25 x 30mm CL8.8 Hex Bolts
- (4) 3/8” Conical Washers
- (4) 1/2” Conical Washers
- (1) M10 x 1.25 x 30mm CL8.8 Hex Bolt

- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the rear hatch.
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, storage covers, and floor covering.

Remove Interior Trim Panels:
- Partially remove the rear interior trim panels on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Remove the necessary fasteners to access the panels carefully. Set aside all items to prevent damage.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness.
- Separate the connectors, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
- Clean the connectors to ensure all surfaces are free of dirt.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors.
- Ensure all connectors are fully inserted and locked in place.

- Open the rear hatch.
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, storage covers, and floor covering.

- Partially remove the rear interior trim panels on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Remove the necessary fasteners to access the panels carefully. Set aside all items to prevent damage.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness.
- Separate the connectors, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
