Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Fascia:
- Bottom Fascia: Using a 10mm socket, remove (8) bolts from the bottom of the fascia.
- Wheel Well: Use a flat head screwdriver to remove (3) rivets from the outside and (1) rivet from inside the wheel well liner on each side. Remove (1) bolt using a 10mm socket inside each wheel well liner.
- Rear Trim: Open the tailgate and remove (1) screw from the rear trim panel using a T30 Torx bit. Remove the plastic trim.
- Side Panels: Remove the plastic covers from both driver and passenger side panels. Remove the bolt cover from the cargo tie hook using a plastic trim tool and a 12mm socket. Remove (1) bolt from each hook.
- Taillights: Remove the cover from the passenger side panel. Use an 8mm socket with an extension to remove (3) hex nuts securing the taillights on each side. Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the taillights.
- Detach Fascia: Use plastic trim tools to remove the fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells. Carefully pull the fascia while disconnecting the wiring harness.
2. Remove Bumper Beam:
- Use an 18mm socket to remove (4) M12 flange nuts from the bolts securing the bumper beam on each side. Remove the bumper beam and return it to the vehicle owner.
- Note: The tow eye will be inoperative after the bumper beam is removed. Use the chain ring on the hitch as an alternative.
3. Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the holes with the studs on the end panel. Loosely install (8) factory M12 flange nuts.
4. Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12x1.5 fasteners to 68 ft-lbs (92 N·m).
5. Trim Fascia:
- Use a tape measure, marker, and die grinder to measure and trim the bottom cover of the fascia as shown in the diagram.
6. Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall the fascia, taillights, plastic covers, plastic trim, and all fasteners in reverse order.
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball mount are secure.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fume entry.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always wear safety glasses and observe safety precautions when working under a vehicle.
- Do not cut holes with a torch.

- Remove (1) bolt from each hook.
- Taillights:
- Remove the cover from the passenger side panel.
- Remove (3) hex nuts using an 8mm socket with an extension.
- Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the taillights.
- Detach Fascia:
- Use plastic trim tools to release the fascia starting near the wheel wells.
- Carefully pull while disconnecting the wiring harness.
2. Remove Bumper Beam:
- Use an 18mm socket to remove (4) M12 flange nuts from each side.
- Remove and retain the bumper beam for the owner.
- Important: The tow eye will no longer function. Use the hitch chain ring instead.
3. Install Hitch:
- Align the hitch with the studs on the vehicle’s end panel.
- Loosely secure using (8) factory M12 flange nuts.
4. Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12x1.5 fasteners to 68 ft-lbs (92 N·m).
5. Trim Fascia:
- Measure and mark the trim area on the bottom cover of the fascia using a tape measure and marker.
- Trim using a die grinder per the specified diagram.
6. Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall the fascia, taillights, plastic covers, and all fasteners in reverse order.
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect the hitch and fasteners for proper tightness.
- Plug any body panel holes if the hitch is removed to prevent water or fume entry.
- Replace damaged hitch components immediately.
- Always wear safety glasses and use proper precautions when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not use a torch to cut holes.
