Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Honda CR-V

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the hatch of the vehicle and temporarily remove the rear threshold, cargo net, and cargo cover to allow access to the rear interior trim panel on the driver’s side.
- It may be helpful to fold the rear seat forward for easier access.

Remove Interior Trim Panels:
- Carefully remove the lower cargo hook by pushing in on the white plastic clip.
- Using a trim panel remover tool, carefully pull back the upper and lower trim panels on the driver’s side.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Gently pull back the upper trim panel to reveal the vehicle’s white 6-pin connector.
- Connect the T-One® T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s white 6-pin housing and lock it into place.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate the existing ground stud on the driver’s side.
- Loosen the bolt, place the screw eyelet on the stud, and re-tighten the bolt.
- Ensure all existing ground connections are still attached and torqued to the manufacturer's specifications.

Mount the Black Box Module:
- Apply the supplied double-sided tape to the flat side of the black box.
- Locate a flat, out-of-the-way surface and mount the T-One® T-Connector’s black box module to prevent damage or rattling.
- Clean the mounting surface with a 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water before securing the black box.

Connect the Fuse:
- For models from 2017-2022, locate the interior fuse compartment under the steering column and identify fuse location 37.
- For 2023-current models, identify fuse location 17. If a fuse is not installed, insert the 15-amp fuse included in the hardware kit.
- Note: Fuse installation may not be required for all models.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remainder of the T-One® T-Connector harness.
- Avoid areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged during reassembly.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- When not in use, store the 4-flat harness in an out-of-the-way area in the rear cargo compartment.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the hatch of the vehicle and temporarily remove the rear threshold, cargo net, and cargo cover to allow access to the rear interior trim panel on the driver’s side.
- It may be helpful to fold the rear seat forward for easier access.

Remove Interior Trim Panels:
- Carefully remove the lower cargo hook by pushing in on the white plastic clip.

Part 1: Install the 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Mount the Adapter:
- Choose a suitable mounting point on the vehicle, typically near the hitch.
- Use the provided bracket and screws to secure the adapter.

Connect the 4-Flat Plug:
- Plug the 4-flat connector on the adapter into the existing 4-flat plug on the vehicle.
- This connection enables tail lights, left turn, and right turn signals.

Ground the Adapter:
- Locate a clean, solid grounding point near the adapter.
- Drill a 3/32" hole if necessary and secure the white ground wire from the adapter using the provided screw and eyelet.

- Use self-tapping screws to mount them securely.

- Connect the black 12-gauge wire from the 7-way adapter to the auxiliary side of one circuit breaker (this powers the 7-way socket).
- Run a heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the battery side of this circuit breaker, using a ring terminal.
- Run another heavy-gauge wire from the battery's positive terminal to the auxiliary side of the second circuit breaker (for the brake controller).
