Installation Instructions for 2021-Current Toyota Sienna

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Install Receiver Housing:
- Unlock the blue handle using the provided key.
- Remove the receiver from the housing by pressing the blue handle and rotating it clockwise until it clicks.
- Attach weather covers to the receiver housing.
- Secure the housing to the hitch using M12 bolts, flat washers, and prevailing torque nuts.
- Tighten the fasteners to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M).

Place Warning Labels:
- Store the included warning card in the vehicle glove compartment.
- Apply one warning label to the receiver and another to the door jamb.

Remove Taillights:
- Open the tailgate and remove two screws from each taillight using a 10mm socket.
- Gently pull the taillights rearward, disconnect the wiring, and set them aside.
-
Remove Fascia:
- Remove four plastic push-pin rivets from the bottom edge of the fascia.
- Remove one rivet from the top of the driver’s side wheel well and three from the outer bottom edge near the wheel well.
- Remove two screws from the mud flap using a Phillips screwdriver and two from the splash guard using a 10mm socket. Return splash guard to the vehicle owner.
- Carefully detach the fascia using plastic trim tools. Disconnect any wiring harnesses and set the fascia aside.

Remove Frame Plugs:
- Remove two thread plugs from the driver’s side frame rail using a flat head screwdriver. Repeat on the opposite side.

Remove Bumper Beam:
- Remove six flange hex nuts from the bumper beam using a 14mm socket. Retain the nuts for hitch installation. Return the bumper beam to the vehicle owner.

Trim Metal Tab:
- Use tin snips to trim the metal tab on the frame rail as specified in the instructions.

Install Hitch:
- Apply blue thread locker to all fasteners.
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely attach it to the frame using the provided hardware, including conical washers and hex nuts for the carriage bolts and hex bolts for the weld nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque M10-1.25 fasteners to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 NM), 7/16-14 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 NM), and M12 fasteners to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N*M).

Modify Kick Sensor:
- Remove three rivets and three screws from the kick sensor using a flat head screwdriver and Phillips screwdriver.
- Disconnect the sensor and trim it as shown in the instructions.
- Reconnect the sensor to the vehicle using one screw and one push rivet.

Trim Fascia:
- Locate the center of the fascia. Using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, cut an 8.75” wide by 4.25” tall notch in the bottom of the fascia. Ensure the area is clear of all wiring.

Reinstall Components:
- Reconnect all wiring, then reinstall the fascia, taillights, and covers using the original fasteners.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Toyota Sienna
Part Numbers:

- Trim Panel Remover
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Rear Hatch:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, privacy screen, storage covers, and floor covering.
- Open the rear door and fold the rear seat forward.
- Remove all necessary trim panel fasteners to access the vehicle’s wiring. Set aside all items carefully.

Access the Driver-Side Wiring:
- Pull back the rear driver’s trim panel to access the vehicle’s harness.
-
Locate the 8-Pin Connector:
- On the driver’s side, locate the vehicle’s 8-pin connector near the floor, close to the rear seat.
- Insert the 8-Pin Tow-Plug Adapter into the connector and lock it in place.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box on the driver’s side using the double-sided tape provided.
- Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that may cut or pinch the wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area to remove dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Test the Installation:
- Ensure all connections are complete.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining T-One® T-Connector harness.
- Avoid areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reinstall Trim Panels:
- Reinstall all plastic trim panels, threshold covers, and floor coverings removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
- When in use, pull the 4-flat connector through the door and close it carefully.
