Installation Instructions for Dodge Caliber (Except SRT4)

Tools Required:
- Wrenches: 15/16”
Specifications:
- Max Gross Trailer Weight: 2,000 lb. (908 kg)
- Max Tongue Weight: 200 lb. (90.8 kg)
- Note: Do not exceed towing vehicle manufacturer’s rating.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Insert 5/8” Bolts:
- Place 5/8” bolts into the bushings from the outboard side of the frame rails.
- Leave the bolts flush with the inboard frame rail.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and push the 5/8” bolts through the brackets to support the hitch.

Attach Remaining Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using the provided lock washers and hex nuts as shown in the instructions.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 5/8”-11 fasteners to 100 Lb.-Ft. (136 N*M) using a torque wrench.
Hardware List:
- (4) Hex Bolts: 5/8”-11 x 4”
- (4) Lock Washers: 5/8”
- (4) Hex Nuts: 5/8”-11
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always wear safety glasses when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
