Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Volvo XC70

- Drill with a 3/32” drill bit.
- 10mm socket and ratchet.
- Wire crimpers and cutters.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access Rear Taillights:
- Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate.
- Remove the access panel on the driver’s side and pull out foam from the opening to locate the rear of the taillight. Repeat on the passenger side.
- Remove the threshold, trunk floor panels, and trays. Set aside all items to prevent damage.

Locate Wiring Harness:
- Identify the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness connected to the taillight socket. This harness will have a connection point matching the T-Connector adapter.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring no damage to the locking tabs. Verify that all surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect T-Connector:
- On the driver’s side, insert the T-Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place. Ensure all connectors are secure.
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger side behind the panels and along the threshold. Repeat the connection process for the passenger side.

Ground Connection:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connectors, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing, drill a 3/32” hole, and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

- Inside the vehicle, connect the black 12-gauge wire from the T-Connector black box to the red wire using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire to the vehicle’s fuse box under the hood, avoiding areas that could pinch or damage the wire.
- Attach the yellow fuse holder’s ring terminal to the vehicle’s power cable stud and secure it with a 10mm nut. Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.
