Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Rear Bumper Fascia:
- Notify the vehicle owner that the fascia requires trimming for hitch installation.
- Remove the plastic fastener at the rear of the vehicle between the bottom of the fascia and the end panel.
- Open the tailgate and remove the two rubber tailgate stops.
- Remove screws (each side) from the plastic wheel well molding and gently pull the fascia away from the molding.
- At the tail light, pull gently rearward and continue until the fascia is completely removed.

Loosen Towing Eye:
- Remove the inside appearance panel at the rear of the tailgate and loosen the towing eye under the panel on the passenger side.

Remove Impact Bar:
- Continue loosening the towing eye as needed to remove the impact bar.

Install Hitch:
- Place the hitch into the impact bar and align the bolt holes.
- Attach conical washers to the hex bolts and insert them into the bolt holes.
- Slide 3/8” blocks onto the backside of the bolts on the hitch (only for models with raised end panels).

Secure Hitch and Reinstall Components:
- Raise the hitch and impact bar into position. Hand-tighten all bolts, including those for the towing eye.
- Reinstall the towing eye by sandwiching the hitch, impact bar, and towing eye. Tighten all bolts to the specified torque:
- M10 CL8.8 fasteners: 38 lb-ft (52 N*m).
- Retighten the towing eye from inside the vehicle trunk.

Trim Fascia:
- Use a utility knife to trim the fascia at the bottom center. The cut should be 2 1/2” wide and 2” long.
- Obtain the vehicle owner’s approval before cutting.

Reinstall Fascia:
- Carefully reinstall the fascia, ensuring it sits flat along the rear shelf of the trunk.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access Rear Taillights:
- Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate.
- Remove the access panel on the driver’s side and pull out foam from the opening to locate the rear of the taillight. Repeat on the passenger side.
- Remove the threshold, trunk floor panels, and trays. Set aside all items to prevent damage.

Locate Wiring Harness:
- Identify the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness connected to the taillight socket. This harness will have a connection point matching the T-Connector adapter.
