Installation Instructions for Nissan Versa Sedan

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Detach the exhaust from the rubber isolator. Spray lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator for easier removal.

Remove Rearward Bolt:
- Remove the M6 bolt holding the heat shield in place. Return the bolt to the owner.

Trim Heat Shield:
- Use tin snips to trim the heat shield to allow access to the frame rail hole on the passenger side.

Prepare Frame Rails:
- Enlarge the holes on both frame rails as needed to allow the hitch brackets to sit flush. Scrape off undercoating and caulking from the bottom of the frame rails.

Install Passenger-Side Carriage Bolts:
- Use the reverse pull wire procedure to insert the 7/16” carriage bolt and block through the passenger-side frame rail hole. Leave the pull wire attached.

Install Tie-Down Hook Bolt:
- Insert the 1/2” carriage bolt and spacer through the tie-down hook on the driver’s side.

Apply Galvanic Isolators:
- Attach the galvanic isolators to the passenger-side hitch bracket as shown in the instructions.

Position Hitch:
- Feed pull wires through the hitch bracket slots and raise the hitch into position. Loosely install the 1/2” carriage bolt on the tie-down hook.

Secure Passenger-Side Bracket:
- Feed the pull wires through the passenger-side hitch bracket slots. Remove the pull wires and install fasteners as shown. Ensure the heat shield is sandwiched between the hitch and frame rail on the passenger side.

Center Hitch:
- Adjust and center the hitch on the vehicle.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 7/16”-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).
- Torque all 1/2”-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Reattach the exhaust to the rubber isolator.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
