Clean Weldnuts:
- Remove any stickers or plugs covering the weldnuts on the frame rails (both sides).
- Ensure weldnuts are free of rust and debris. Use an M14x1.5 tap if necessary.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and align the holes in the hitch bracket with the frame rail weldnuts.
- Loosely install the supplied M14 bolts and conical washers.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M14 fasteners to 89 ft-lbs (121 Nm).
Hardware List:
- (6) Bolt M14x1.5x45 CL10.9
- (6) Conical Washer 5/8"

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Cargo Area:
- Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate.
- Temporarily remove all floor coverings and cargo trays from the rear cargo area.

Locate the Tow Plug Connector:
- On the driver’s side, remove the cargo bin and cargo hooks using an 8mm socket, Phillips screwdriver, and side panel tools to locate the mating tow plug connector.
-
Connect the T-One® T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness and lock it into place.
- Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and confirm connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secured.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Verify the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.

Mount the Black Box Module:
- Locate a flat, out-of-the-way surface and mount the T-One® T-Connector’s black box module to prevent damage or rattling.

Route the 7-Way Harness:
- Remove the existing plug and route the 7-Way harness end with the terminals behind the trim panel to the grommet area.
- Route the 7-Way harness through the grommet hole and seat the grommet inside.
- Continue routing the 7-Way harness to the center of the vehicle.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remainder of the harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Install the 7-Way Socket:
- Determine the mounting location for the 7-Way socket.
- Route the harness containing the 7 wires along the inside of the bumper toward the mounting location.
- Insert terminals into the provided black round connector, which mates with the provided 7-Way socket.
- Plug the 7-way socket into the Trailer Tow Harness and mount it in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

Install Fuses:
- Open the vehicle hood and locate the fuse box on the driver’s side near the rear of the firewall.
- Insert the following fuses (included) into these positions:
- 30A for Trailer Main (Position #2)
- 20A for Trailer E-Brake (Position #3)
- 20A for Trl Charge (Position #11)

- Verify all connections are complete for proper T-One® T-Connector functionality.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the ignition key.

- Plug the brake control adapter into the vehicle’s electric brake control harness connector.
- Follow the brake control manufacturer’s installation instructions.
Step 3: Complete installation and mount the brake control unit
- Complete the installation as directed in the brake control manufacturer’s instructions.
- Mount the brake control unit and perform the test procedures to ensure functionality.
