For Sprinter Van Models:

Remove Tie-Down Hook:
- Detach the tie-down hook from the passenger side frame rail.
- Return the tie-down hook and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Position the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Install the fasteners as shown:
- Insert a hex bolt and lock washer through the round hole in the hitch bracket.
- Insert hex bolts and toothed washers through the oblong slots in the hitch bracket, on both sides.
For Sprinter Cab & Chassis Models:

Remove Wheel Chock Bracket (if present):
- Remove the wheel chock bracket from the driver side frame rail and retain it for reinstallation.
- Discard the bolts.

- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 x 1.75 CL8.8 fasteners to 68 lb-ft (92 N·m).

- Connect the 12-gauge red wire to the battery using the 25 AMP fuse holder, butt connector, and ring terminal.

Step 2: Locate the Brake Control Harness Connector
- Locate the green 4-pin connector under the driver-side seat.
- This connector will match the plug on the adapter.
NOTE:
Removal of the driver’s seat may be required to gain access to the connector.
Step 3: Connect the Adapter
- Plug the brake control adapter into the vehicle’s electric brake control harness connector.
- Follow the brake control manufacturer’s instructions for wiring and mounting the brake control unit.
Step 4: Route the Adapter
- Find a suitable routing path for the adapter to exit near the bottom of the dashboard.
