Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust System:
- Remove two (2) rubber isolators from the muffler hangers and one (1) from below the rear axle to temporarily lower the exhaust system.
- For dual exhaust models, repeat this step on both sides.
-
Lower Heat Shields:
- Remove four (4) M6 bolts to temporarily lower the heat shields.
- Retain the bolts for reinstallation.
-
Prepare Frame:
- Remove the rubber plugs from the holes in the bottom of the frame.
- Drill a 1-1/8" access hole in the bottom of the frame approximately 2" from the forward heat shield attachment point (refer to Figure 1).

Insert Fasteners:
- Fish-wire a 7/16"-14 x 1.50 GR5 carriage bolt and a 1 x 2 spacer block through the access hole and down through the rear-most hole in the bottom of the frame.
- Fish-wire another carriage bolt and a 1 x 3 spacer block through the access hole and down through the forward-most hole in the bottom of the frame.
- Leave fish wires attached and guide them through the hitch holes.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, ensuring the holes in the hitch align with the carriage bolts in the frame.
- Secure the rear carriage bolts with conical toothed washers and hex nuts, but do not tighten fully.
- Place a flat washer on each forward carriage bolt between the frame and the hitch bracket. Secure with conical toothed washers and hex nuts.

Trim Heat Shields:
- Trim the heat shields around the forward attachment bolt area so they sit flat against the hitch bracket.

Reinstall Components:
- Reattach the heat shields on top of the hitch brackets using the four (4) M6 bolts removed earlier.
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the rubber isolators, including the one under the axle.
Torque Specifications:
- Tighten all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N*m).

- (4) Carriage Bolt, 7/16"-14 x 1.50 GR5
- (2) Spacer Block, 3/16" x 1 x 2
- (2) Spacer Block, 1/4" x 1 x 3
- (4) Conical Toothed Washer, 7/16"

Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the trunk.
- Remove the threshold panel to access the trunk floor.
- Partially detach the felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the taillight wiring harness.
- Remove the access panels on both sides.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver’s side and passenger’s side, locate the taillight wiring harness connectors.
- Carefully disconnect the connectors, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of dirt or debris.

Install the T-Connector:
- On the driver’s side, connect the T-Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s taillight connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully engaged and locked into place.
- Route the T-Connector harness with the green wire across the threshold to the passenger side.
- Connect the green wire T-Connector to the passenger-side taillight harness.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver-side wiring harness.
- Use an existing ground stud or drill a 3/32” hole into clean, bare metal.
- Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

- Cut the yellow fuse holder wire and attach the ring terminal to one end.
