Step-by-Step Instructions:

Raise Hitch:
- Lift the hitch into position on the vehicle.

Install Fasteners:
- Attach the hitch to the existing weldnuts in the frame rails using the provided bolts and washers.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M) using a torque wrench.
Hardware List:
- (6) M12 x 1.25 x 40mm CL10.9 Bolts
- (6) 1/2” Conical Washers
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Philips head screwdriver.
- Drill with 3/32” drill bit.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
For Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe:

Open the vehicle's rear tailgate.
- Remove the cargo nets and cargo floor hatch to access the spare tire area.
- Unscrew the nut holding the spare tire cover and remove the cover.
- Remove the access panel doors on both sides to access the vehicle's wiring connectors.

Locate the vehicle's taillight wiring harness on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Disconnect the harness carefully to avoid damaging the locking tabs.
- Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Locate the access hole on the driver’s side between the spare tire and the rear threshold.
- Route the T-Connector end with the yellow wire through this hole to the access panel.

Insert the T-Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s wiring connectors and lock into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs secure.

Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger’s side.
- Repeat step 4 for the passenger’s side using the green wire.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the connectors.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

Mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remaining T-Connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.
- Avoid areas that may pinch or cut the wire.

Reinstall the access panels, spare tire cover, cargo floor hatch, and cargo nets.
For Toyota Echo:

Open the trunk and remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the corner felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.

Follow steps 2-7 as described above.

Reposition the trunk liner and reattach the threshold panel.
Specifications:
- Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps).
- Max. tail lights: (5 amps).

Access the Rear Compartment:
- Open the rear tailgate.
- Remove cargo nets and the cargo floor hatch to access the spare tire area.
- Unscrew the nut holding the spare tire cover and remove it.
- Remove the access panel doors on both sides to locate the vehicle’s wiring connectors.

Locate the Wiring Harness:
- Identify the taillight wiring harness on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Disconnect the harness carefully to avoid damaging the locking tabs.

Route the T-Connector:
