Installation Instructions for 2013-Present Ford Escape SUV (Excluding S Model)
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Ratchet
- 3/4" Socket
- 3/4" Boxed End Wrench
- Torque Wrench
- Die Grinder
- Safety Glasses
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Enlarge Access Holes
- Use a die grinder to enlarge the access holes in the frame to allow square hole spacers to fit.
- Fishwire the 1/2" bolts and square hole spacers into the vehicle frame at the two side plate mounting points on each side.
Step 2: Position the Hitch
- Place the hitch underneath the vehicle and route the fishwires through the side plate mounting holes.
- Use two people if necessary to raise the hitch into position.
- Remove the fishwires and loosely secure the mounting hardware to hold the hitch in place.
Step 3: Secure Fasteners
- For the passenger side plate, use a 3/4" boxed end wrench to tighten the hardware due to limited access.
- For the driver side plate, use a 3/4" socket to secure the hardware.
Step 4: Torque Hardware
- Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 ft-lbs.
Step 5: Complete Installation
- Installation is complete. Verify all fasteners are properly secured.

- (4) 1/2"-13 x 1-1/2" Carriage Bolts (Part Number: 10-102874)

- (4) 1/2" Fishwires (Part Number: 1_2 FISHWIRE)

- Safety glasses must be worn at all times during installation.
