Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Lower the exhaust
- Remove (2) rubber isolators from the muffler towards the center of the vehicle.
- Remove the bolt securing the rearmost hanger to the frame.
- Exhaust configuration may vary depending on the model.
Step 2: Trim the heat shield
- Trim the heat shield to access the frame's access hole.
- Confirm dimensions prior to trimming.
Step 3: Fishwire the hardware
- Fishwire (4) SP2 spacers (2 on each side) and (4) 7/16" carriage bolts (2 on each side) through the access holes and out the mounting holes.
- Raise the hitch into position and secure with (4) 7/16" flange nuts (2 on each side).
Step 4: Torque the hardware
- Torque 7/16" hardware to 70 ft-lbs.
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall the rubber isolators as removed in Step 1.

- (4) 7/16-14 UNC Carriage Bolt, 1-1/4" Grade 8 (#10-10281)

Access the Wiring Harness Connectors
- Locate the vehicle's wiring harness connectors in the trunk behind the taillight in positions P3 and P4 as shown in the Wiring Location Guide.

Disconnect the Battery
- Locate the vehicle’s battery on the driver’s side under the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Prepare the Trunk
- Open the trunk and remove the spare tire cover.
- Remove the two plastic push fasteners on the rear scuff panel.
- Remove the scuff panel by pulling out on the bottom and then upward.

Remove the Trunk Liner Fastener
- Remove the plastic push fastener holding the felt trunk liner in place.

Access the Driver-Side Wiring Harness
- On the driver’s side, pull back on the felt trunk liner to locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness connectors.
- Separate the connectors from the taillight housing, taking care not to damage the locking tabs.

Connect the Driver-Side Wiring Harness
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the separated connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

Ground the White Wire
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing screw with nut in the vehicle’s frame, or drill a 3/32" pilot hole for the provided screw.
- Ensure the area is free of rust, dirt, and paint. Secure the white ground wire using the ring terminal and screw provided.

Route the Passenger-Side Wiring Harness
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger side behind the removed scuff panels.
- Repeat Steps 5–6 on the passenger side using the T-Connector end with the green wire.
- Use the provided cable ties to secure any loose wires.

Mount the Converter Box
- Inside the vehicle, locate a flat spot and adhere the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Route the Black Power Wire
- Route the black power wire from the vehicle’s battery as shown in the included CME-PCL-INS sheet.

Route the 4-Flat Connector
- Route the 4-flat wire to the center of the vehicle when in use.
- When not in use, roll it up and store it in a convenient, out-of-the-way location.

Reinstall Components
