Step-by-Step Instructions:
For Jeep Wagoneer / Grand Wagoneer
Step 1: Locate the brake control harness connector
- Identify the vehicle’s 4-pin electric brake control harness connector located under the dash, left of the steering column.
- This connector is taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal and resembles the Tekonsha adapter.
Step 2: Connect the adapter and mount the brake control unit
- Plug the brake control adapter into the mating receptacle on the brake control unit before connecting it to the vehicle harness.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to mount the brake control unit and secure all connections.
- Test the brake control unit for proper functionality.
For Chrysler Pacifica / Voyager, Dodge Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee WK

- Drill with 1/8" drill bit
- Screwdriver or 1/4" Nut Driver

Mounting Instructions:

Select a Suitable Mounting Location:
- Must be securely mounted to a solid surface.
- Must be within easy reach of the driver.
- Ensure the area behind the mounting location is clear before drilling.

Mark the Hole Locations:
- Hold the mounting bracket in place.
- Mark the holes using the slots in the bracket as a template.

Drill Mounting Holes:
- Use a 1/8" drill bit to drill holes at the marked locations.

Output (Gain) Control:
- Adjusts the maximum power delivered to the trailer brakes.
- Use the +/- buttons to increase or decrease output.
- Display shows values from 0 to 10 (0 = minimum power, 10 = maximum power).

Manual Control:
- Located on the front of the brake control unit.
- Slide the control to manually apply the trailer brakes.

Boost Control:
- Provides more aggressive trailer braking.

Setting Power to the Trailer Brakes:

- Drive at 25 mph on a dry, level surface.
- Apply the Manual Control fully:
- If trailer brakes lock up, decrease power.
- If braking is insufficient, increase power.
- Repeat until braking is smooth and effective, just below wheel lock-up.
