Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Remove bottom screws from the bumper fascia.
- Use a T25 Torx bit to remove four screws from the bottom of the bumper fascia.
- Remove one screw from the inside of each rear wheel well.
Step 2: Access and remove screws from the wheel well lining.
- Pull back the wheel well lining to reveal six screws (three on each side).
- Remove these screws using a T25 Torx bit.
Step 3: Remove additional screws and trim.
- Pull the wheel well trim to reveal one screw on each side and remove it with a T25 Torx bit.
- Open the liftgate to access and remove two screws using a T20 Torx bit.
Step 4: Remove the trunk edge trim and rubber plugs.
- Remove the trunk floor and use a trim panel pry tool to remove the trunk edge trim.
- Locate two rubber plugs inside the trunk (one on each side) and remove them to access two nuts.
- Remove these nuts using a 10mm socket.
Step 5: Remove additional trunk nuts.
- Remove the access panels on both sides of the trunk to locate and remove two additional nuts (one on each side) using a 10mm socket.
Step 6: Remove the bumper fascia and bumper beam.
- Carefully pull the bumper fascia away from the vehicle, starting from the sides and working toward the rear. Set the fascia aside.
- Use a 16mm socket to remove eight M10 bolts securing the bumper beam and bracket.
- Remove the bumper beam and bracket and set them aside for later reinstallation.
Step 7: Install the hitch and secure the hardware.
- Raise the hitch into position along with the bumper beam and bracket.
- Secure the hitch using the provided M10 bolts and 7/16" conical-toothed washers.
- Torque all M10 hardware to 45 ft-lbs.
Step 8: Reinstall all components.
- Reattach the bumper fascia by reversing steps 1 through 6.
- Ensure all screws and trim pieces are properly reinstalled.
