Remove Tie Down Bracket:
- Remove the tie-down bracket and bolts on the driver’s side.
- Return the bracket and bolts to the vehicle owner.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with the existing weldnuts in the frame rails.

Install Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using four (4) M12 x 1.25 x 30mm CL8.8 bolts with conical toothed washers (teeth side toward the hitch).
- Tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 67 lb-ft (91 N*m).
Torque Specifications:
- M12 x 1.25 CL8.8 bolts: 67 lb-ft (91 N*m)
Hardware List:

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Suzuki Vitara/Grand Vitara / Chevrolet Tracker:

Locate the Vehicle’s Trailer Harness Connector:
- The trailer harness connector is inside the driver’s side tire jack compartment. (Fig. 1)

Locate the 6-Pin Connector:
- The 6-pin connector is taped to the vehicle wiring harness, located forward of the tire jack compartment. (Fig. 2)
-
Connect the T-Connector:
- Remove the tape from the vehicle’s connector.
- Insert the T-Connector into the 6-pin trailer plug harness.
- Ensure the T-Connector is fully inserted and the locking tabs are engaged.

Test the Installation:
- Use a test light or connect a trailer to verify the following functions:
- Left Turn Signal
- Right Turn Signal
- Brake Lights
- Running Lights
- Use a test light or connect a trailer to verify the following functions:

Secure and Store the Harness:
- Secure all loose wiring with cable ties.
- Store the 4-flat harness inside the vehicle when not in use.
Suzuki XL-7:

Remove the Storage Compartment:
- Open the rear door and remove the four screws holding the storage compartment to the floor. (Fig. 1)
- Lift the compartment, starting with the front edge.

Access the Left Trim Panel:
- Remove the two plastic push clips from the bottom rear edge of the left trim panel. (Fig. 2)
- Pull the trim panel away from the body. (Fig. 3)
Note: If a rear cargo net is installed, remove the top and bottom anchor bolts.

Install the T-Connector:
- Locate the white 6-pin connector under the rear blower motor.
- Insert the T-Connector into the vehicle’s trailer plug harness. (Fig. 4)
- Ensure the T-Connector is fully inserted and the locking tabs are engaged.

Mount the Black Box:
- Clean a flat surface near the black box location using a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water.
- Mount the black box using the foam tape provided.
-
Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector out from under the left trim panel.
- Reattach the trim panel and the storage compartment to their original positions.
- Store the 4-flat harness inside the vehicle when not in use.
Alternate 4-Flat Routing Instructions (Optional):

Remove the Driver-Side Taillight:
- Remove the two screws holding the taillight assembly in place. (Fig. 5)
- Carefully pull the taillight housing away from the vehicle.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat harness alongside the rear taillight wiring.
- Route it into the area below the taillight.
-
Use the Rubber Grommet:
- Under the vehicle, locate the square rubber grommet above the exhaust pipe. (Fig. 6)
- Remove the grommet and cut a small slot in it.
- Route the 4-flat connector through the slot and replace the grommet in its original position.

Secure the Harness:
- Route the wiring harness toward the center of the vehicle, avoiding exhaust pipes or pinch points. (Fig. 7)

Reinstall the Taillight Assembly:
- Reattach the taillight assembly using the screws removed earlier.

- Max Current: 4 amps per circuit

- Always test the trailer wiring system before towing.
- Avoid routing the harness near hot surfaces, exhaust pipes, or sharp edges.
