Installation Instructions for Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Pickups (1500/2500 Series, 2500 H.D./3500 Series)

- Wrenches: 3/4", 7/8", 21mm, 22mm
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Existing Fasteners:
- Remove M14 fasteners from the end of each frame rail if present and return them to the customer.

Position Receiver:
- Lift the receiver into position, aligning the slots in the receiver with the weldnuts in the vehicle frame.

Install Fasteners:
- For vehicles with a bumper, install M14 fasteners through the receiver into the weldnuts.
- For vehicles without a bumper, align the slots in the receiver over the fore/aft slot near the frame end and secure fasteners as shown in Figure 2.

Drill Additional Holes (6' Bed Models Only):
- Using the hitch as a template, drill a 1/2" hole through the frame at the center attachment points on both sides.

Install Remaining Fasteners:
- Secure all additional fasteners as shown in Figures 1 and 2, including spacer blocks, lock washers, and nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all M14 CL10.9 fasteners to 115 lb-ft (156 N*m).
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m).
Torque Specifications:
- M14 CL10.9 bolts: 115 lb-ft (156 N*m)
- 1/2"-13 GR5 bolts: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)

- (4) Bolts, 1/2"-13 x 1.75" GR5
- (2) Bolts, M14 x 2.00 x 45 CL10.9
- (4) Conical Washers, 1/2"

Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
