Step-by-Step Instructions:
General Instructions:
- Remove the center section and side brackets from the box.
- Loosely install side brackets as per vehicle-specific instructions.
- Attach the center section to the side brackets.
- Tighten the fasteners for the center section first, followed by the frame attachment fasteners.
Specific Installation for Dodge 3500/4500/5500 and Sterling 4500/5500 (34” Frame):
- Center Fuel Tank:
- Position the fuel tank between the frame rails.
- Position Side Brackets:
- Raise and clamp the hitch side brackets into position. Center the forward attachment point between the suspension reinforcement and align flush with the frame rail's exterior.
- Mark Drill Points:
- Use the side brackets as templates to mark the frame for attachment holes.
- Warning: Avoid drilling into fuel or electrical lines.
- Drill Holes:
- Remove the side brackets and drill 9/16" holes in the marked locations. A pilot hole is recommended.
- Attach Side Brackets:
- Loosely attach side brackets to the frame using the specified fasteners.
- Install Center Section:
- Raise the center section into the desired position for the vehicle.
- Secure it with (8) 9/16"-18 x 1.75" bolts, washers, and flanged locknuts.
