Step-by-Step Instructions:
For 1999-2004 Models:

Remove Appearance Panel:
- If present, remove the plastic appearance panel covering the driver’s side frame rail.
- Return the appearance panel and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Lower Exhaust:
- Lower the vehicle exhaust to allow for hitch installation.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Install the six (6) M12 fasteners and blocks using the forward slots on the hitch side brackets.

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Reinstall the vehicle exhaust to its original position.
For 2005 & Later Models:

Lower Exhaust:
- Lower the vehicle exhaust to allow for hitch installation.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Install the six (6) M12 fasteners and blocks as shown in the diagram.

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Reinstall the vehicle exhaust to its original position.
Hardware List:
- (6) M12 x 1.25 x 35mm CL8.8 Bolts
- (6) 1/4” x 1-1/2” x 3” Blocks
- (6) 1/2” Conical Washers
Torque Specifications:
- Tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 68 lb-ft (92 N·m).
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow all safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Trim Panel Remover
- Pliers
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate.
- Remove the cargo liner and threshold. Set aside all items removed carefully to avoid damage.
- Remove the passenger-side rear cargo area trim panel to access the vehicle’s black electric junction box.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Plug the gray connector into the mating connection in the top right corner of the electric junction box.
- Mount the white ground wire to the existing ground stud next to the electric junction box.
- Mount the black box using the provided double-sided tape on a clean, flat surface inside the passenger-side trim panel.
Warning:
- Ensure all other ground connections are secure when removing and reattaching the ground stud.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat wire across to the driver’s side under the threshold and cable tie it to the factory wiring harness.
- Route the wire under the driver’s side trim panel and store it in the jack compartment for future use.

Install the Fuse:
- Locate the fuse compartment on the passenger-side kick panel, near the glove box.
- Open the fuse compartment and place the provided 7.5-amp fuse into fuse position #5.
- Attach the fuse label to the fuse cover in position #5 and close the fuse compartment.
Warning:
- Do not use a fuse larger than 7.5 amps. Replacing it with a higher-rated fuse could damage the vehicle and/or trailer.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reposition the passenger-side panels, trays, and trunk floor panels.
- Reattach the threshold.

Test the Installation:
- Test and verify the T-Connector installation with a test light or trailer to ensure proper functionality.
Specifications:
- Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
- Max. tail lights: (4.2 amps)
