Wiring Access Location:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Fascia Door:

   • Remove and return the fascia door to the vehicle owner.

2. Remove Rear Fascia (if equipped with integrated exhaust outlets):

   • Remove (5) screws inside each wheel well toward the rear.
   • Remove (1) screw on the bottom of the fascia near the wheel well.
   • Detach the rear side of the wheel well trim using fascia removal tools.
   • Remove (1) bolt in the corner of the rear fascia above the wheel well.
   • Underneath the vehicle, remove (1) plastic rivet from the fascia near the center.
   • Open the tailgate, remove (2) bolts and (1) screw along the tailgate seal below the tail lights.
   • Carefully remove the fascia, starting from one wheel well and working around.

3. Lower the Exhaust:

   • Detach the rubber exhaust hangers to lower the rear portion of the exhaust:
     • (2) hangers for single exhaust
     • (4) hangers for dual exhaust.
   • Support the exhaust to prevent damage.

4. Raise the Hitch into Position:

   • Raise the hitch over the exhaust pipes, aligning the slots in the hitch with the weldnuts in the frame rails.

5. Install Side Fasteners:

   • Loosely install M12 bolts and 1/2” conical washers into the existing weldnuts on each side.

6. Install Central Fasteners:

   • Install fasteners in the central receiver bracket with spacers sandwiched between the bracket and bumper:
     • With Bumper Weldnuts: Use (2) M12 bolts and (2) 1/2” conical washers.
     • Without Bumper Weldnuts: Use (2) 1/2” bolts, (2) 1/2” conical washers, and (2) handle nuts.

7. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 92 lb-ft (125 N·m).
   • Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m).

8. Reattach Exhaust:

   • Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the hangers:
     • (2) hangers for single exhaust
     • (4) hangers for dual exhaust.

9. Reinstall Rear Fascia (if removed):

   • Reverse the steps from Step 2 to reinstall the rear fascia.

• (6) M12 x 1.75 x 45mm CL10.9 Hex Bolts
• (2) 1/4” x 1” x 2” Spacers
• (6) 1/2” Conical Washers
• (2) 1/2” Handle Nuts
• (2) 1/2”-13 x 1-3/4” Hex Bolts

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Malibu

• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• 7mm Socket & Ratchet or 7mm Wrench

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Taillight Assemblies:

   • Buick Enclave:
     • Open the rear door.
     • Remove both taillight housing assemblies by removing the two bolts for each light.
     • Carefully pry the taillight housing assemblies away from the vehicle, avoiding damage to alignment tabs.
   • Chevrolet Malibu:
     • Open the trunk.
     • Remove the vehicle’s taillight assemblies by first removing the plastic cargo nuts behind the taillights (1 per side).
     • Pull the carpet back to expose the plastic wing nuts (3 per side). Remove the wing nuts and carefully pull the taillight away, ensuring no damage to alignment pins.

2. Disconnect the Driver-Side Wiring Harness:

   • On the driver’s side, disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from the taillight socket.
   • Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock it into place.

3. Route the T-Connector Wiring:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the green wire and the 4-flat connector down through the opening between the bumper and the vehicle body.
   • Route the green wire to the passenger’s side, being careful to avoid hot pipes, heat shields, and the fuel tank. Route the 4-flat connector along the bumper.

4. Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the green wire up through the opening on the passenger side.
   • Repeat step 2 for the passenger side using the green wire.

5. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or cross member.
   • Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

6. Reinstall the Taillight Assemblies:

   • Reinstall the taillight housing assemblies, positioning the vehicle wiring harness between the housing and the vehicle body.
   • Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that may cut or pinch the wire.

7. Mount the 4-Flat Connector:

   • Mount the 4-flat connector in a suitable location under the vehicle. A bracket is not included.

8. Test the Installation:

   • Test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer.
   • Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
