Step-by-Step Instructions:
General:

Lower Spare Tire:
- For ease of installation, lower the spare tire and set aside.

Remove Existing Bolts:
- Remove the existing 14mm bolts from the end of the truck’s frame rails. Return the bolts to the vehicle owner.
- If the truck has an existing hitch, remove the bumper bolts as well.
Short-Bed Trucks:

Remove Heat Shield Bolt:
- Remove the rearmost 8mm bolt securing the plastic heat shield to the passenger side frame.

Attach Bolt-On Brackets:
- Attach the supplied bolt-on brackets to the hitch brackets. Torque the fasteners as specified below.

Sandwich Plastic Heat Shield:
- Position the heat shield tab between the hitch and the frame on the passenger side. Trim the heat shield gusset if necessary to ensure it remains in place.
Long-Bed Trucks:
- Discard Bolt-On Brackets:
- Discard the bolt-on brackets or return them to the vehicle owner, as they are unnecessary for long-bed applications.
All Models:

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position. Align the hitch slots with the weldnuts in the truck bumper and frame rails.

Install Fasteners:
- Use the supplied M14 bolts and conical washers for the bumper weldnuts.
- For forward attachments, insert carriage bolts and blocks through the access holes and down through the frame slots.

Torque Fasteners:
- Torque 1/2”-13 GR5 bolts to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m).
- Torque M14 x 2.0 CL10.9 bolts to 115 lb-ft (156 N·m).

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- Reinstall the spare tire, ensuring it does not interfere with the hitch or fasteners.

- (4) Hex Bolts, M14 x 2.0 x 45mm CL10.9
- (6) 1/2”-13 Hex Nuts
- (4) Conical Toothed Washers, 5/8” (black)
- (2) Carriage Bolts, 1/2”-13 x 2” GR5
