- Drill with 17/32” and 1” Drill Bits
- Torque Wrench
- Supplied Pull Wire for Rib Neck Bolts

Check for Obstructions:
- Inspect for potential hazards such as fuel or brake lines before drilling.

Verify Compatibility:
- For Crew Cab models with beds shorter than 6’, a Sidewinder Pinbox Coupler is required.
Installation:

Position Base Rails:
- Measure from the rear edge of the truck bed to the rear edge of the base rail:
- Long Box: 30 5/8”
- Short Box: 28 5/8”
- Measure from the rear edge of the truck bed to the rear edge of the base rail:

Drill Holes in the Truck Bed:
- Drill through the bed sill using a 17/32” drill bit.
- Open the hole in the truck bed with a 1” drill bit.

Install Tube Spacers:
- Drop the provided tube spacers through the drilled holes to prevent crushing the bed sill when torqueing bolts.

Secure Forward Brackets:
- Use 4-1/2” carriage bolts and slotted spacers to attach the brackets through the forward bed sill (Row 2).
- Torque all bolts to 75 ft-lbs.

Pull Rib Neck Bolts:
- Use the provided pull wire to guide rib neck bolts through access holes in the frame.

Install Rear Brackets:
- Drill through the frame only where the bracket will be mounted.
- Do not drill through both walls of the frame.
Important Notes:
- Ensure the kingpin center is positioned approximately 1-1/2” forward of the axle center.
- Each base rail must have a bolt in one of the center holes for stability.
- Avoid drilling near critical components like fuel or brake lines.
Maintenance:
- Periodically inspect and re-torque all bolts to ensure proper securement.
- Repaint drilled areas as needed to prevent corrosion.
