Step-by-Step Instructions:
General Installation:
- Attach the two front arms to the coupler using (2) bolt blocks, (4) toothed washers, and (4) 3/8” locknuts. Do not fully tighten the locknuts; the front arms should still swing open and closed.
- Insert a steel insert into the open end of each front arm and secure with (2) 3/8” x 2” bolts, (4) washers, and (2) 3/8” locknuts. Tighten the locknuts to 32 ft-lbs.
- Slide a rear arm over the remaining portion of each steel insert and secure with (2) 3/8” x 2” bolts, (4) washers, and (2) 3/8” locknuts. Tighten the locknuts to 32 ft-lbs.
- Attach a pivot bracket assembly to the end of each arm with a ½” x 3.5” bolt and ½” flange locknut. Tighten until snug but still allowing free pivot movement.
Tow Bar Assembly:
- Center the tow bar on the attachment surface, spreading side arms to at least 24” but no more than 41”. Mark tow bar bracket centerlines.
- Drill (2) ½” holes into the attachment surface using the tow bar brackets as templates.
- Attach the brackets with ½” x 1.75” Grade 5 bolts (or longer bolts if necessary). Secure with flat washers and locknuts, tightening to 75 ft-lbs.
- Attach the tow bar to the brackets using (2) wire-lock pins.
- Connect the tow bar coupler to the 2” ball of the towing vehicle. Tighten (4) 3/8” nuts on the side arms to the coupler to 31 ft-lbs.
- Install safety chains and connect an appropriate wiring harness to ensure proper lighting functionality.

- Do not exceed a total towed vehicle weight of 5,000 lbs.
- Ensure the towing vehicle weighs more than the towed vehicle.
- Verify all connections, hitch, and ball frequently during towing.
- Reduce speed on rough roads and avoid exceeding 45 mph.
- Check for stability and discontinue towing if instability persists.
- Install this product according to the mounting instructions provided.
- Always remove the tow bar when not towing.
- Ensure proper lighting functionality or use a temporary lighting system if needed.
