Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. System Assembly:
- Pass the anchor bushing through the fore-aft tube and align its flat edge with the tube.
- Thread the 1” jam nut onto the anchor bushing until there is no vertical motion, then tighten an additional quarter turn.
- Insert the Tee-Pin Anchor into the bushing and attach the anchor handle by threading it onto the Tee-Pin.
- For the rear anchors, ensure the Reese label faces outward.
- Pass a cotter pin through the anchor handle slot and Tee-Pin anchor hole.
- Install the end cap into the fore-aft tube.
2. System Adjustment:
- Place the adapter into pucks with handles unlocked (parallel to the cross tube).
- Rotate handles to the locked position. Adjust Tee-Pins if:
- There is excessive vertical play.
- Handles cannot lock by hand.
- To adjust, remove cotter pins, unthread Tee-Pins, and adjust jam nuts as needed.
- Tighten jam nuts until vertical play is eliminated and reinstall Tee-Pins, cotter pins, and end caps.
3. Installation:
- Remove puck plugs from truck bed and store them.
- Set the adapter onto the pucks and rotate handles to the unlocked position.
- Drop the adapter into pucks and lock handles. Insert lynch pins through overlapping handle holes.
4. Removal:
- Remove lynch pins and rotate handles to the unlocked position.
- Lift the adapter from pucks and store in a dry place.
- Replace puck plugs to keep debris out of truck bed pucks.
Maintenance:
- Lubricate feet with lithium grease before each use.

Installation Instructions:
1. Assemble the Handle:
- Slide the handle tube over the bar as shown.
- Secure with M8 carriage bolts, lock washers, and nuts using an M13 wrench. Tighten until snug.

Assembly Instructions:
Handle Assembly:
- Slide the handle tube over the bar as shown in Figure 2.
- Securely tighten the carriage bolts, lock washers, and nuts using an M13 wrench. Ensure the handle is snug.
Head Attachment to Center Section:
- Apply grease as shown in Figures 7 and 8.
- Grease skid plate surface, 5th wheel jaw, and kingpin.
- Use spray-on white lithium grease for internal mechanisms.
- Place the head unit on the center section, avoiding pinch points.
- Insert pull pins through the head and secure with spring clips (Figure 5).
- Inspect the sight holes on the head to ensure the clips are correctly installed (Figure 6).
Operation Instructions:
Hitching Procedure:
- Ensure the 5th wheel height is set correctly (see leg installation instructions).
- Align the truck and trailer, ensuring:
- Trailer wheels are chocked.
- Pin box is at the correct height for hitching.
- The head is in the "Ready-to-Receive" position (handle pulled until a "CLICK" is heard; indicator shows RED).
- Back the truck into the trailer so the kingpin aligns with the 5th wheel funnel.
- When the indicator turns GREEN, the kingpin is securely latched.
- Perform a pull test to ensure proper engagement:
- With trailer brakes engaged, attempt to pull forward gently. Ensure the trailer is firmly hitched.
- Insert the bail pin to lock the handle and connect the electrical and breakaway cables.
Unhitching Procedure:
- Chock trailer wheels and lower jacks to support the trailer.
- Disconnect the electrical and breakaway cables.
- Remove the bail pin and move the handle to the "Unhitching" position:
- Pull the handle fully out until a "CLICK" is heard, then rotate it towards the cab.
- Slowly drive the truck away from the trailer.
Maintenance:
- Grease the skid plate, 5th wheel jaw, and pivot assemblies before first use and periodically.
- Use a grease gun with a needle adapter for pivot grease points.
- Inspect all fasteners and components for wear or damage regularly.

Assembly and Installation:

Leg Installation:
- Determine which center section mounting holes to use, ensuring a minimum of 6” clearance between the truck bed rail and the bottom of the trailer.
- Attach the legs to the center section using the (4) M16 x 2 x 40mm hex head bolts with 5/8” conical washers. Thread the bolts from inside the center section into the legs. Finger-tighten the bolts initially for adjustments.

Alignment:
- Ensure the collars on the legs are seated fully in the corresponding holes in the center section.

Rail Placement:
- Place the unit onto the existing above-bed rails. Orient it as shown in the installation diagram.

Securing the Rails:
- Use the provided 1/2” pins and spring clips to secure the unit to the rails. Ensure the spring clips are properly fastened to prevent the pins from coming loose.

Torque Fasteners:
- With ISR legs pinned and securely held in above-bed rails, tighten each M16 hex-head bolt to 220 ft-lb of torque.

Final Steps:
- Verify the hitch is tight to the truck by lifting each side of the hitch.
- Assemble the M5 head to the center section following the instructions provided with the M5 Head and Center Section.
Maintenance:
- Pre-Trip Inspection:
- Check that all pins and spring clips are undamaged and securely in place before each trip.
- Regular Maintenance:
