Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Tow Hook Brackets:
- Using a 17 mm socket, remove the factory tow hook brackets (if present) by removing (10) M12 flange head bolts.
- Return bolts and brackets to the vehicle owner.
- Note: For vehicles without factory tow hook brackets, clean the existing weld nuts in the frame using a wire brush or compressed air.
2. Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, starting with the passenger-side hitch bracket above the exhaust, followed by the driver’s side.
- Using the supplied hardware, install the M12 bolts, conical toothed washers (teeth side against the hitch), and hardened flat washers as shown in Figure 1.
3. Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m).

- 6 × Conical Toothed Washers (1/2")
- 4 × Hardened Flat Washers (1/2")
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Proper torque is essential to secure the hitch to the vehicle.
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the hitch ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball before use.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Towing Vehicle:
- Locate the appropriate wires at the rear of the vehicle using a circuit tester and the provided wiring chart as a reference.
- Make the connections as shown in the chart using wire taps.
- Connect the Ground Wire (White) to the vehicle frame or body.
General:
- Test all lights using a test light, circuit tester, or connected trailer to ensure proper functionality.
- Secure all loose wires with cable ties.
Notes:
- Vehicles with separate turn and stop lights require a taillight converter.
- If splicing into the vehicle wiring:
- Consult the vehicle owner's manual or local dealer for warnings or restrictions.
- Use appropriate gauge wire splices for secure connections.
