Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Excess Caulk:
- Scrape away any excess caulk from the frame rails in the hitch installation area.
2. Enlarge Access Hole:
- Use a die grinder or a suitable tool to enlarge the access hole in the frame enough for the carriage bolt head to fit through (refer to Figure 2).
3. Install Hardware:
- Using the fish wire, install carriage bolts and spacers into the frame through the access hole as shown in Figure 1. Repeat on both sides.
- Note: Leave the fish wire attached to the hardware.
4. Remove Screws:
- For 2021-Current models, remove (4) screws from the bottom of the fascia using a T15 Torx bit.
5. Trim Lower Fascia:
- For 2021-Current models, use a tape measure, marker, and utility knife to measure and trim the lower fascia as shown in Figure 3.
- Note: Relocate the wiring harness if present in the area of trimming.
6. Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and feed the end of the fish wires through the attachment holes in the hitch.
- Loosely install conical washers (teeth side against hitch) and hex nuts to hold the hitch in place.
- For 2021-Current models, gently pull the fascia to raise the hitch into position.
7. Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m) using a torque wrench.
- Note: The hitch is designed to be close to the fascia at the center. If necessary, trim the fascia at the center lower edge for clearance.

- Replace any damaged hitch or ball before use.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Vehicle Wiring:
- Open the hatch and partially remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to expose the vehicle’s wiring inside the rear cargo area.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness with a connection point matching the ends of the T-One® Connector.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors.
- Lock the connectors in place, ensuring they are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector’s black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remainder of the T-One® Connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling, avoiding areas that may cut or pinch the wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole.
- Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw. Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area before securing.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to prevent damage or injury.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the connector containing the green wire through the threshold to the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the passenger-side taillight wiring connectors, following the same procedure as for the driver’s side.

Route the Power Wire:
- Starting from the front of the vehicle, route the black 12-gauge wire rearward along the frame rail, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or damage the wire.
Warning: If routing the wire through a grommet along the exterior, ensure no damage or exposure to hazardous areas.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remainder of the T-One® Connector harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall all trim panels, the threshold, storage covers, floor coverings, and other components removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
