Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Tie-Down Bracket:
- Using an 18mm socket, remove the four factory bolts from the passenger-side tie-down bracket.
- Return the bracket and two bolts to the vehicle owner.

Drill Holes:
- Raise the hitch into position and align the passenger-side bracket holes with the weldnut locations.
- Mark the drill points for the driver-side bracket holes:
- Rearward hole center: approximately 2.125" from the back of the end panel.
- Forward hole center: approximately 5.125" from the back of the end panel.
- Lower the hitch and drill 1/2" holes at the marked locations.

Enlarge Access Hole:
- Use a die grinder to enlarge the access hole in the frame, ensuring it is large enough to fit a 7/16" carriage bolt and spacer.

Install Hitch:
- Feed the 7/16" carriage bolts and spacers through the access hole using the provided pull wires, leaving the pull wires attached.
- Raise the hitch into position and feed the pull wires through the hitch bracket slots.
- Loosely install two factory M12 bolts into the existing weldnuts on the passenger side.
- Remove the pull wires and loosely install conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) and hex nuts on the driver side.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 7/16"-14 fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N*m).
- Torque all M12 fasteners to 68 ft-lb (92 N*m).

- (2) Carriage Bolt, 7/16"-14 x 1.75 GR5
- (2) Spacer, 0.875" x 2.00" x 0.109" (Part No. 1204)
- (2) Conical Washer, 7/16" (Part No. 01292007)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the trunk.
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner behind the taillights.

Locate the Vehicle’s Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver and passenger sides, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- Disconnect the connectors carefully to avoid damaging the locking tabs.
- Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secured.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector with the green wire behind the panels and along the threshold to the passenger-side taillight wiring harness.
- Repeat Step 3 using the green wire T-Connector.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- From inside the vehicle, connect the black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the vehicle’s exterior frame or thresholds to the engine compartment.

- Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or areas where the wire could be pinched or damaged.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Attach the provided yellow fuse holder to the positive (+) battery cable using the ring terminal.
- Connect the black wire to the fuse holder using the yellow butt connector.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
