Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Disconnect the muffler from the rubber exhaust hangers in three locations.

Remove Heat Shield:
- Temporarily remove the exhaust heat shield.
- Retain the heat shield and fasteners for reinstallation after the hitch is installed.

Remove Tie-Down Hook:
- On the driver's side, remove the tie-down hook.
- Return the tie-down hook and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Prepare Frame Rail:
- Remove the fasteners at the end of the frame rail as shown in the illustration. Discard these fasteners.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and secure it using the provided fasteners into the existing weldnuts on the frame rail.
- Tighten all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 lb-ft (27 N*m).
- Tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 38 lb-ft (52 N*m).

Reinstall Heat Shield:
- Reattach the exhaust heat shield using the retained fasteners.

Raise Exhaust:
- Reconnect the muffler to the rubber exhaust hangers.
Hardware List:
- (2) Hex Bolt M10 x 1.25 x 40 mm CL8.8
- (3) Hex Bolt M8 x 1.25 x 30 mm CL8.8
- (2) Conical Washer 7/16"
- (3) Conical Washer 3/8"
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Kia Rondo and Kia Soul

Tools Required:
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the Taillight Assemblies:
- Open the rear liftgate.
- On both the driver and passenger sides, remove three screws securing the taillight assemblies.
- Carefully pull the taillight away from the vehicle, ensuring not to damage the alignment pins.

Disconnect the Vehicle Wiring Harness:
- Locate the vehicle's taillight wiring harness on both sides.
- Separate the connectors, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Clean all connector surfaces to remove dirt.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs engaged.

Route the T-Connector Wiring:
- Route the harness containing the green wire and the 4-flat connector down through the opening behind the driver’s side taillight.
- Continue routing the green wire under the vehicle to the passenger’s side taillight opening.

Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Repeat step 3 on the passenger’s side, using the T-Connector with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle frame or cross member.

- Reinstall the taillight housing assemblies, ensuring the vehicle wiring harness is positioned between the housing and the vehicle body.
