Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Lower Muffler:

   • Use exhaust removal pliers to remove the rubber hangers (4 or 5 depending on the vehicle year) holding the muffler.
   • Apply lubricant or soapy water to ease the removal process.
   • Support the muffler to prevent damage.

2. Remove Rubber Plugs:

   • Remove the rubber plugs from the existing holes in the vehicle frame (2 or 3 depending on the vehicle year) on each side.

3. Enlarge Holes (If Necessary):

   • Drill the rear-most hole with a 1/2" bit and the forward-most hole with a 1/4" bit. Use a file to smooth the edges.

4. Install Fasteners:

   • Use the pull wire to guide the carriage bolts and spacer blocks through the rear-most hole and out the forward-most hole in the frame.
   • For the rear-most holes, use a reverse fish wire method to pull the fasteners into position.

5. Position Hitch:

   • Carefully raise the hitch into position, ensuring that the fasteners remain in place.
   • Install the flat washers, lock washers, and nuts onto the fasteners, ensuring that spacer blocks are positioned between the vehicle frame and the hitch at the forward-most holes.

6. Torque Fasteners:

   • Tighten all 7/16"-14 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).

7. Raise Muffler:

   • Reattach the muffler to its original position using the rubber hangers.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Impreza Sport

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Taillight Assemblies:

   • Open the rear tailgate to access the bolts holding the taillights in place.
   • Remove the taillights on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle.

2. Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Behind the driver’s side taillight, separate the vehicle’s wiring connectors.
   • Insert the T-Connector with the yellow and brown wires between the connectors.
   • Ensure all connections are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

3. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the green wire and the 4-flat connector through the opening between the vehicle’s bumper and body.
   • Route the green wire to the passenger side taillight pocket.
   • Connect the green wire T-Connector to the passenger-side wiring connectors.

4. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the connectors on the driver’s side.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

5. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Inside the vehicle, connect the black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the T-Connector black box using the provided yellow butt connector.
   • Route the black wire through a grommet or along the exterior frame to the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch or break the wire.

   Warning:

   • Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or other areas where it may be damaged.

6. Connect to the Vehicle Battery:

   • Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
   • Attach the yellow fuse holder to the positive (+) battery cable using the provided ring terminal.
   • Connect the black wire to the fuse holder using the yellow butt connector.
   • Insert the fuse into the fuse holder.

7. Mount the Black Box:

   • Mount the black converter box in a suitable location on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.

8. Secure the Wiring:

   • Secure the T-Connector harness using the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wires.

9. Reinstall the Vehicle Components:
