Step-by-Step Instructions:

Disconnect the Negative Battery Terminal:
- Locate the vehicle battery on the driver side under the hood.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety during installation.

Remove the Driver Side Taillight Assembly:
- Open the vehicle's tailgate.
- Remove the two Phillips screws securing the driver side taillight assembly.
- Gently pull out the taillight assembly, taking care not to damage the alignment tabs.

Access the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Locate the vehicle's taillight wiring harness connectors behind the removed taillight assembly.
- These connectors will resemble those on the custom wiring harness.

Route the Wiring Harness (Driver Side):
- From underneath the vehicle, locate the access hole leading to the taillight wiring harness under the taillight.
- Route the custom wiring harness end with the yellow wire up through this body opening to the driver side taillight housing.

Connect the Wiring Harness (Driver Side):
- Separate the vehicle's connectors from the taillight housing, ensuring the locking tabs are not damaged.
- Insert the custom wiring harness end with the yellow wire between the separated connectors.
- Ensure all connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

Route the Wiring Harness (Passenger Side):
- Route the custom wiring harness end with the green wire to the passenger side, behind the removed scuff panels.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the passenger side using the harness end with the green wire.

Establish a Ground Connection:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing screw with a nut in the vehicle frame.
- If no suitable grounding point is available, drill a 3/32" pilot hole for the provided screw.
- Ensure the area is free of rust, dirt, and paint.
- Secure the white ground wire using the ring terminal and provided screw.
Warning: Check for miscellaneous items that may be hidden behind or under any surface before drilling to avoid damage and/or personal injury.

Route the Black Power Wire:
- Route the black power wire from the vehicle battery as shown on the included CME-PCL-INS sheet.

Mount the Converter Box:
- Locate a flat spot inside the vehicle, near the taillight.
- Adhere the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Position the 4-Flat Connector:
- When in use, route the 4-flat connector to the center of the vehicle.
- When not in use, roll up and store it in a convenient, out-of-the-way location.
- Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.

Reinstall Removed Components:
- Reinstall all items removed during installation.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
