- Hex Bolt: 1/2-13 UNC, 1-1/4", Grade 8, YZ (Qty: 2)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Rear Exhaust Hanger:
- Remove the rear rubber exhaust hanger from the frame attachment to lower the exhaust.
- Refer to the Rubber Isolator Removal Diagram for guidance.

Remove Underbody Panel and Heat Shield:
- Remove the underbody panel by taking out the retaining fasteners. Trim the panel as required and set it aside for reinstallation.
- Remove the four (4) fasteners attaching the muffler heat shield and set it aside. Trim the heat shield using aviation shears as shown in the Trim Diagram.

Install U-Bolt in Tow Loop:
- Insert the 3/8" U-bolt through the vehicle’s tow loop as shown.

Fishwire Carriage Bolts and Spacers:
- Fishwire the 7/16" carriage bolts and square hole spacers through the existing holes in the vehicle frame.
- Note: If needed, enlarge the forwardmost holes in the frame using a 17/32" drill bit.

Insert Handle Nuts:
- Insert the 1/2" handle nuts through the access holes in the frame rails on both sides.

Reattach Trimmed Components:
- Reinstall the trimmed heat shield and underbody panel using the original fasteners.

Raise Hitch and Exhaust Simultaneously:
- Raise the hitch into position while supporting the exhaust system. Loosely secure the hitch to the vehicle frame and tow loop using the provided hardware.

Torque Fasteners:
- Torque the 3/8" hardware to 45 ft-lbs.
- Torque the 7/16" hardware to 70 ft-lbs.
- Torque the 1/2" hardware to 75 ft-lbs.

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Reattach the exhaust hanger removed in Step 1.
Safety Notes:
- Drilling Required: Some models require enlarging holes in the frame.
- Trimming Required: Trim the heat shield and underbody panel for clearance.
- Periodically check all fasteners to ensure they remain tight.
