Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower the Exhaust:
- Remove two (2) rubber exhaust hangers on the driver’s side and one (1) on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.

Remove Tow Hook Bracket:
- Remove the tow hook bracket by detaching five (5) M10 bolts.
- Return the bracket and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Install the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Secure it with four (4) M10 x 1.25 x 40mm bolts and conical toothed washers, two (2) per side.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall the rubber isolators.

- (4) M10 x 1.25 x 40mm CL8.8 Hex Bolts
- (4) 3/8" Conical Toothed Washers

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Drill with 3/32" Drill Bit
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Tow-Plug Harness:
- Underneath the vehicle on the passenger’s side, between the bumper and rear tire, locate the vehicle Tow-Plug harness.
- Remove the protective cap, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness and lock it into place.
- Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs secured.

Route the T-Connector Harness:
- Route the T-Connector harness rearward along the fascia of the bumper.
- Continue routing it along the inside of the bumper toward the center of the vehicle.
Warning:
- Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle frame or cross member. Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area. Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid vehicle damage or personal injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling, ensuring it avoids areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

- Verify the T-Connector installation with a test light or trailer.
