Installation Instructions for Jeep Wrangler (Front Mounted Receiver)

- 10mm Wrench
- 15mm Wrench
- T-45 or T-55 Torx® Driver
- Torque Wrench
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Existing Components:
- If present, remove the plastic shield, OEM tow hooks, and the upper bumper bolts.

Position the Receiver:
- Refer to the appropriate figure for proper fastener installation:
- Figure 1: For 1997 and later models.
- Figure 2: For 1987 through 1996 models.
- Refer to the appropriate figure for proper fastener installation:

Optional Trimming of Plastic Shield:
- If desired, trim and reinstall the plastic shield to allow proper clearance.
- Consult the vehicle owner before trimming.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all M10 CL10.9 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N-m).
- Tighten all 1/2" GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N-m) using a torque wrench.
Hardware List:
- (4) 1/2"-13 x 1-3/4" Hex Bolts
- (2) M10 x 1.50 x 45 Hex Bolts
- (4) 1/2" Conical Washers
- (2) 3/8" Conical Washers
- (6) 7/16" Flat Washers
- (2) 1-1/2" x 2" x 1/4" Zinc-Plated Spacers
- (2) 1-1/2" x 2" x 1/4" Black-Painted Spacers
Safety Notes:
- Periodically check the hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and structural components are sound.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Warning: Do not exceed the vehicle’s Front Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
- Maximum Cargo Capacity: 300 lbs.
- Maximum Winch Line Pull: 9,000 lbs.
- Damaged hitches or hardware must be replaced immediately.
Manufacturer Notes:
- Use eye protection when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do NOT use a torch to cut access holes.
- This product complies with SAE J684 and VESC Regulation V-5 safety standards.
