Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove the rubber isolators from the muffler hangers to lower the exhaust.

Prepare Bolt and Plate Assembly:
- Thread the bolt leader onto the 1-1/2” carriage bolt and insert it through the hole in the reinforcing plate.
- Fishwire the bolt leader and assembly through the access hole in the bottom of the frame and pull it through the proper hole in the frame.
- Repeat for the other side.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Insert the 2” carriage bolt along with the square hole spacer, round hole spacer, and hitch's mounting tab through the vehicle's tie-down hook in the order shown in the illustration.
- Install the conical toothed washer and nut and hand-tighten to hold the hitch in place.

Attach Hitch to Frame Straps:
- Fishwire the bolt leaders through the holes in the frame straps.
- Carefully remove the bolt leaders without pushing the bolt assemblies back into the frame channels.
- Install conical toothed washers and nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all 1/2”-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the rubber isolators.

- (2) Carriage Bolts: 1/2”-13 x 1-1/2” GR5
- (2) Reinforcing Plates: 1” x 3” x 1/4”
- (2) Bolt Leaders
- (3) Conical Toothed Washers: 1/2”
- (3) Nuts: 1/2”-13 GR5
- (1) Carriage Bolt: 1/2”-13 x 2-1/2”
- (1) Square Hole Spacer: 1” x 2” x 1/4”
- (1) Round Hole Spacer: 1” x 2” x 1/4”
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always wear safety glasses when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
