Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Wiring Access Location:

• Tail light wiring harness behind the rear interior panels.

Tools Required:

• Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
• Screw or cable ties (provided in the kit).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Vehicle-Specific Instructions:

1A. For Nissan Altima:

• Open the trunk and remove the plastic threshold plate.
• Pull back the trunk lining behind the tail lamps on both sides to expose the vehicle's wiring connectors.
• The vehicle’s connectors will match the ends of the T-Connector harness.

1B. For Nissan Pathfinder & Infiniti QX4:

• Open the rear door and remove the plastic threshold plate.
• Partially remove the rear interior trim panel on both sides of the vehicle behind the tail lamps.
• Locate a square access hole behind the tail lamps to access the vehicle’s wiring connectors.
• The vehicle’s connectors will match the ends of the T-Connector harness.

2. Separate the driver’s side connectors located in step 1.

   • Insert the T-Connector with the yellow wire in-between the connectors.

3. Route the wire across to the passenger’s side.

   • Repeat step 2 using the T-Connector with the green wire.

4. Locate a suitable grounding point on the driver’s side near the connectors.

   • Caution: Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.
   • Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.

5. Test the installation with a test light or trailer.

6. Secure the black box to the vehicle using the provided cable tie or screw.

7. Reattach all interior trim panels, threshold plate, and trunk lining.
