Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Detach (5) rubber exhaust hangers and lower the rearward portion of the exhaust system.

Insert Fasteners into Frame Rails:
- Insert carriage bolts and blocks into the frame rails through the access holes shown in Figure 1.

Raise Hitch into Position:
- Raise the hitch into position and check side-to-side clearance with the frame.
- Tape 1/2" washers to the hitch as necessary to eliminate any gaps (see Figure 2).

Secure Hitch:
- Attach the hitch using the carriage bolts and secure it as shown in Figure 1.

Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a template, drill two (2) holes in the sides of the frame rails.

Install Side Fasteners:
- Insert hex bolts and lock washers through the side frame rails and secure with handle nuts inserted through the end of the frame rail.

Reinstall Exhaust System:
- Reattach the exhaust system using the original rubber hangers.
Hardware List:
- (4) Carriage Bolt, 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4"
- (2) Hex Bolt, 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4"
- (4) Spacer Block, 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 2"
- (4) Conical Toothed Washer, 1/2"
- (4) Flat Washer, 1/2"
- (4) Hex Nut, 1/2"-13
- (2) Handle Nut Assembly
- (2) Lock Washer, 1/2"
Torque Specifications:
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m) using a torque wrench.
Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Buick LaCrosse

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Trunk:
- Remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner behind the taillights.

Remove Taillight Housing:
- Locate and remove the plastic wing nuts (2 per side) in the trunk behind the taillights.
- Pull the taillight housing directly rearward to remove it.
-
Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s wiring harness from the driver-side taillight socket.
- Plug the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring harness and the taillight socket.

Route Passenger-Side and 4-Flat Wiring:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire and the 4-flat connector wire down through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body.
- Run the green wire to the passenger side and the 4-flat connector under the bumper.
Warning: Avoid routing wires near hot pipes, heat shields, or other areas where the wire could be pinched or damaged.

Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the green wire up through the opening on the passenger side.
- Repeat Step 3 for the passenger-side T-Connector connection.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector (e.g., the vehicle frame or cross member).
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing, drill a 3/32” hole, and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Reassemble the Taillight Housing:
- Position the vehicle wiring harness between the taillight housing and the vehicle body.
- Reinstall the taillight assemblies securely.

Secure the T-Connector Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or damage the wires.
- Mount the 4-flat connector in a suitable location under the vehicle (bracket not included).
Specifications:
- Max. stop/turn light: 7.5 amps
- Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps

- Overloading circuits can cause fires. Do not exceed the lower rating of the towing manufacturer or product specifications.
