Installation Instructions for Toyota Tundra
Part Numbers:

Wiring Access Location:

Tools Required:
- Wrenches: 17mm, 19mm, 21mm
- Drill Bits: None
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Existing Brackets:
- Remove the angle brackets on both sides of the vehicle between the truck frame rails and bumper brackets.
- Return these brackets to the vehicle owner.
- Save the bolts as they will be reused in Steps 2 and 3.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and align it with the bumper brackets.
- Reinstall the M14 bolts removed in Step 1 through the hitch and bumper brackets. Ensure the bolts face outward as shown in the diagram.
- Place a 9/16" flat washer, lock washer, and M14 flanged hex nut on each bolt on the outside of the bumper bracket. Hand-tighten only.

Reinstall M12 Bolts:
- Place a toothed conical washer over each M12 bolt removed in Step 1.
- Reinstall the M12 bolts through the hitch into the weld nuts in the truck frame. Hand-tighten only.

Install Forward Bolts:
- Use the supplied M14-1.50 bolts with 9/16" helical lock washers and blocks.
- Install these bolts through the hitch and blocks into the frame weld nuts. Repeat for all four (4) attachment points. Hand-tighten only.

Adjust Electrical Bracket (if needed):
- If the existing electrical bracket on the bottom of the truck bumper contacts the top of the hitch tube, bend it upward to provide clearance.
- If necessary, shorten the bolts holding the electrical bracket to allow it to be pushed further upward.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all fasteners in the following sequence:
- First, torque all M12 bolts to 130 lb-ft (176 N*m).
- Next, torque M14 bolts in the bumper brackets to 148 lb-ft (201 N*m).
- Finally, torque M14 bolts forward on the frame to 148 lb-ft (201 N*m).
- Tighten all fasteners in the following sequence:
Torque Specifications:
- M12 bolts: 130 lb-ft (176 N*m)
- M14 bolts: 148 lb-ft (201 N*m)
Hardware List:
- (4) Conical Washers, Toothed, 1/2"
- (4) Flat Washers, 9/16"
- (4) Hex Nuts, M14-1.50, Flanged
- (4) Hex Bolts, M14-1.50 x 45mm, CL10.9
- (8) Helical Lock Washers, 9/16"
- (8) Blocks, 1/4" x 1-1/2" x 2"
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
