Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Bumper Fascia Screws:
- 2009–2016 models: Remove three (3) T25 Torx screws securing the bumper fascia to the trunk pan.
- 2017–Current models: Remove two (2) 10mm hex nuts securing the bumper fascia to the trunk pan.

Remove Underbody Panel (If Equipped):
- For single exhaust models, remove three (3) 10mm hex nuts and one push-type rivet, then temporarily remove the underbody panel.

Remove Spare Tire and Jack Tool Kit:
- Remove the spare tire and jack tool kit using a 10mm socket.
-
Remove Drain Plugs:
- Use a utility knife to carefully cut the caulking around the two rearmost drain plugs in the trunk pan. Remove the plugs and return them to the vehicle owner.

Move Hands-Free Trunk Release Cable:
- If equipped, temporarily relocate the cable away from the trimming area of the fascia.

Trim Fascia:
- Use a tape measure, marker, and utility knife to cut a notch approximately 3-1/4" wide x 3" deep, centered on the vehicle.

Install Top Plates and Fasteners:
- Pull the fascia down gently and install top plates with 4-1/2" carriage bolts on top of the bumper beam extensions. The bolt location may vary by model year.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the slots with the carriage bolts, and loosely install four (4) hex flanged locknuts.

Seal Drain Holes:
- Apply silicone caulk around the drain holes from inside the trunk pan to prevent water and exhaust intrusion.

Install Rear Fasteners:
- Install two (2) 1-3/4" carriage bolts and spacer blocks from inside the trunk pan through the hitch holes. Loosely install the conical toothed washers and hex nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 4-1/2" GR5 carriage bolts to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).
- Torque all 1-3/4" GR5 carriage bolts to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).

Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall the hands-free trunk release cable, underbody panel, and bumper fascia. Secure all screws or hex nuts removed earlier.
- Reinstall the spare tire and jack tool kit.
