Park the tow vehicle and trailer on level ground. 2. Level the trailer and measure the coupler height. 3. Insert the hitch bar into the hitch box and secure it with the pull pin and spring clip. Ensure the hitch bar is in the proper orientation (up or down) to match the coupler height. 4. Adjust the ball mount so that it sits 3/4” to 1” higher than the coupler height to account for vehicle squat when loaded. ### Hookup 1. Attach the coupler to the ball and close the latch. 2. Grease the ends of the spring bars and insert them into the ball mount sockets. Ensure they lock securely. 3. Attach the spring bars to the L-brackets and secure them with the spring bar covers and pins. 4. Adjust the L-brackets to balance the load and ensure proper tension. ### Final Adjustments 1. Retract the trailer jack and re-measure the front wheel well height. 2. Adjust the number of spacer washers or the L-bracket position to ensure the wheel well height is equal to or lower than the original measurement. --- ## Maintenance 1.
